Small property but not a budget hotel, unlike what is being said in the other reviews. 60 West is priced about US$20 - USD30 lower than ibis Hotel which is a couple of block up. Rooms are spacious and conveniently located long a very busy street between 2 MTR stations. I have mixed feelings about the cleanliness. While the room...

This hotel is locate at Sheung Wan. Just middle of two metro station, Sheung Wan and Sai Ying Pun. We try walk from Sheung Wan station to hotel. But there are many small lane and easy to lost way. Suggest get down at Sai Ying Pun. Take elevator from A1 exit, turn LEFT, you will reach Des Voeux Rd West....

What a great budget hotel in up and coming Sheung Wan. The hotel is 5 mins walk to both Sheung Wan station and Sai Yin Pun stations. Also tram stop right out the front of the hotel so a real treat for a tram buff to see double decker trams rolling past the big windows of the hotel room with...

I read up about this hotel on trip advisor and I saw not so good comments of guests who stayed here so I wasn't expecting much. We checked in past 7PM and greeted by a young woman at the reception. We gave HKD500 for a security deposit (which is kinda ridiculous because the room we got even cost less). We...

My feelings toward 60 West Hotel are very mixed. The good thing is definitely the extremely friendly and helpful front desk staff. But there is also some pretty bad stuff related to infrastructure: The elevators are terrible. They need way to long to get from one floor to the next and every second or third day, one out of only...

This is a new hotel between older buildings in the West on Hong Kong Island. Close to everything, tram stop in front of the hotel as well as buses. Food store is few meters on the same street and suites have fridge, microwaves and kettle to make breakfast or lunch. The front desk staff is very friendly and helpful. I...

Convenient with the tram stop just less than a minute walk, so its even more convenient than travelling by MTR.. The airport bus no A11 stop is not far from the hotel, walking distance. All facilities needed were provided.., good english communicating with staffs. And large room for HK with the price ... No breakfast included but the microwave and...

Apartment was nice and large by Hong Kong standards with plenty of storage cupboards. A bit out of the way but 5 min walk to MTR provided access to anywhere on that excellent system. Be sure to buy an Octupus card as it is cheaper and much more convenient than trying to buy tickets every trip. Handy second hand bookshop...

We were back for our usual CNY visit to Hong Kong (which in our case lasts about a month) and booked a week in 60 West as an experiment. I suppose they were in a low period with few visitors but we obtained a super rate for one of the bigger rooms. I see the one customer had a bad...

Staying in Sheung Wan

Neighbourhood Profile
Sheung Wan
Unlike most of Hong Kong’s other popular districts, Sheung Wan welcomes wanderers with an easy-going, relaxed atmosphere. Art galleries are plentiful and boutique cafés are tucked away in every side street in the sub district known as “PoHo.” Browse through the vintage clothing and handmade leather goods stores – it’s no surprise fashionistas flock to this area. History enthusiasts will be rewarded with sites of beautiful architecture, reflecting Sheung Wan’s past as one of the earliest settlements by British forces. As night falls, the entertainment scene reveals itself to be just as laid back with its private kitchens, speakeasies and underground bars dotted throughout the area. When in Sheung Wan, everyday feels like the weekend.
