This Pandora 80s HOSTEL not HOTEL made our family trip disappointing. I didn’t get the 2 rooms I paid for and was placed in a small room with no windows and 6 bunks. I asked for my money back and they told me to ask booking.com!! I knew this was impossible and I was told that we will be put in our rooms the following day. Then next day came and still I didn’t get my two rooms but was put in a room where someone had left their belongings in there. Like they were already living in this one bedroom room. Staff are naive and useless and I don’t recommend anyone to book in with this HOSTEL. Worse experience ever. This HOSTEL is dirty, filthy, hot and very very very CREEEPY!! I don’t even recommend backpackers to stay here. Find somewhere else. Overpriced for a piece of filth. I didn’t even take photos as I was too embarrassed! Best day was leaving that place. See pic of my son at HK airport!

The place was DISGUSTING!! First things first, I could only get into the building because someone was coming out- other than that I’m not really sure how I would have gotten in since it’s a private apartment building. It’s disgustingly hot in the halls, the “check-in” area is completely trashed, the staff was so helpless and rude. When I got to my room, the previous tenants sheets and towels WERE STILL THERE and the girl Siad “they Must have forgotten to clean this room” then just changed the sheets. WHAT! Not even offering me a new one?! I was in the height of a stomach bug and just got in from Taipei so I just wanted to rest. The air did NOT WORK, and I woke up the next morning with my lips swollen ten times their size. I had it, I booked a different hotel and went to check out and demanded a refund from the “manager” and he said I have to contact booking.com. Anyway- DO NOT STAY HERE EVER!! There are better places that are around the same price, trust me I found one that day!

This property was dirty and messy. The bathroom was very messy and dirty.   I booked a room with 4 bunk beds through Booking.com, but the manager put me in a room with 12 bunk beds. When I asked about the difference in the amount I paid he told me that I would have to request a refund for Booking.com. The reception is on the 11th floor, but my room was on the 7th floor and the internet didn't work there. So I always had to go to the 11th floor to use my smartphone or my laptop. On my second day, an Honk Kong government official intercepted me in the elevator lobby and forced me to open the bedroom door because he said the property is not licensed to rent rooms on the 7th floor. The license is for the 11th floor only. . Then the Hong Kong government official told me that I could have a problem with the Hong Kong Police Department because I am in an unlicensed accommodation. I was very scared and when I told the manager he said that I should not open the door to the Hong Kong government official, but this was not my problem but the housing.   After two days I moved to the other hostel and found the manager there. So I found out that the manager doesn't live in the same hostel he runs. Very strange that.   This hostel is the worst I've ever been to.   I do not recommend anyone to stay there.

We booked this place because of good reviews in websites and very good location. It was bit hard to find because it was in normal living house, but location really is good. Room was small but had everything we needed. Unfortunately, place was not really clean, and for example walls were cracked and things like that. I have slept in quite many hostels and guesthouses so it's not that I expect them to be hotels at all. Here we went to grab something to eat, and when we came back, there were many cockroaches around our bags. They ran under beds when lights were put on. There were quite many of them, so pesticides would have been just minor help. We decided to check other options: because this one was cheap, it was possible. Adding only little price we actually got very good last-minute deal in small place nearby. Location is very good and views for the river are good. If you have better luck with bugs, it can be good stay. We were disappointed, mostly because of very good web reviews.
