Although the rooms are not as spacious and modern the pictures might suggest the room was still very good and clean! We got fresh towels every day and enjoyed free mini bar and a smartphone with internet access (PERFECT!!!) which we could take with us all week. The staff is super friendly. The choices at the breakfast buffet are limited...

We thought that we were reserving rooms with a kitchenette from the web site as an executive studio but when we arrived it was just a room. However, the staff were great they put an electric hob and cooking utensils in our room to use. The concierge Mark is extremely helpful and friendly. The breakfast is good early but becomes...

Citadines Mercer is hidden away in Jervois Street, Sheung Wan, walking distance to the Macau Ferry Terminal. This is essentially a serviced apartment so there is more cupboard space than usual, and extras like an iron and ironing board. Rooms include DVD players, a stocked free mini bar (no wine or spirits - beer and soft drink), a handy phone...

It was our first time at the Citadines Mercer Hong Kong. We decided to try it on the occasion of taking our 5-year-old to Disney land. We reserved a one bedroom and it was clean & comfortable. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Location great. We will defintively come back!

We recently stayed at this hotel for 5 nights on a pleasure trip. Great location only 3 mins walk to Sheung Wan MTR. Room size was larger than normal by Hong Kong standards. Room was very clean and breakfast enjoyable, although a little basic. The amazing bonus was the 3G smart phone which was able to be hotspotted throughout all...

As previous reviews stated - the hotel is tucked away, so much so that our taxi driver had to stop and ask directions to Jervoix street. We loved the locations ad there are plenty of local restaurants on the doorstep as well as western food outlets. Public transport is easy and within a few mins walk. Our room was clean,...

Breakfast, served In the hotel's first floor, was full of opportunities to eat healthy plant-based food. There were much standard European buffet options but the Chinese type "dim sum " was yummy, yummy yummy!

Staying in Sheung Wan

Neighbourhood Profile
Sheung Wan
Unlike most of Hong Kong’s other popular districts, Sheung Wan welcomes wanderers with an easy-going, relaxed atmosphere. Art galleries are plentiful and boutique cafés are tucked away in every side street in the sub district known as “PoHo.” Browse through the vintage clothing and handmade leather goods stores – it’s no surprise fashionistas flock to this area. History enthusiasts will be rewarded with sites of beautiful architecture, reflecting Sheung Wan’s past as one of the earliest settlements by British forces. As night falls, the entertainment scene reveals itself to be just as laid back with its private kitchens, speakeasies and underground bars dotted throughout the area. When in Sheung Wan, everyday feels like the weekend.

“Kitchenette was not fully equipped. There was a microwave oven and some crockery and cutlery but not enough for 2 settings. A big doona was a bit too much for the weather. Air conditioner had to be turned on all the time and it's too noisy.”
