Hyatt Centric Victoria Harbour Hong Kong receives mixed feedback on value, with guests appreciating good deals but some noting unexpected charges. The hotel's cleanliness garners high praise, and its modern rooms with breathtaking harbor views are often lauded, though a few guests find the space limited. The amenities, including a diverse breakfast buffet and excellent gym and pool, earn rave reviews.
Guests commend the service for its professionalism and warmth, even if check-in can lag occasionally. The location is celebrated for its convenience to transit and attractions, despite a few less impressive views.

An exceptionally comfortable, clean and efficient hotel with great views over Victoria Harbour. Hotel staff were exceptionally helpful, in fact most went above and beyond. Good location with easy access to public transport and taxis. Food and drinks in Cruise restaurant are delicious!

We spent 6 glorious nights at the Hyatt Centric over new year, leaving on Thursday 2nd January 2020.
The hotel is in a great location, just a two minute walk from North Point MTR station. You can reach all of the main tourist spots by travelling on the MTR so no need for taxis!
Service was excellant from all staff that we came across, from the concierge that greeted us when we arrived to the bar staff and the reception staff. Nothing was too much trouble from everyone.
The hotel itself is clean, comfortable, modern with a luxury feel throughout. We went to the cruise bar on the top floor a couple of times and sat out on the roof terrace for drinks which was lovely. Tip: there is a happy hour every afternoon after 4:30pm. We made use of the coffee shop a couple of times after a long day exploring also!
We spent a bit more money on the bedroom for this trip, opting for a king bed harbour view deluxe and we are so glad we did. The room was located on the corner of the building with amazing views of the harbour from the bedroom and the bathroom. Waking up each morning to those views was incredible.
The room had free wifi, electric windows, a safe, fridge, complimentary mineral water (which was replenished daily) a sofa, a rain shower, a bath and a even a TV in the bath tub!
The hotel is approx an hour from the airport however the hotel were able to arrange a transfer bus for £15 PP which picked us up from the hotel when we checked out and we had the charge added to our hotel bill. There is a stand in the airport that you can book the transfer shuttle to take you to the hotel when you arrive in Hong Kong.
We had an absolutely brilliant visit to Hong Kong with so much to see and do and the hotel was the cherry on the cake! I know some tourists might be nervous about going to Hong Kong while the protests are still going on but we didn't see anything while we were there (even though there were some that took place according to the news) I would recommend speaking to the hotel concierge if you are unsure as they will know the areas to avoid if you are worried.
I would definitely recommend using the Hyatt Centric as a base when visiting Hong Kong.

This hotel is probably my favorite hotel I've ever stayed at. The location is directly on the harbor and next to the North Point Ferry and it is also just across the street from the North Point MRT stop. It is super easy to get here from the airport even with luggage on the MRT. I suggested paying a little extra for the harbor view room. You won't be let down. The roof features an infinity pool with beautiful views. The only complaint I had is that it was freezing but I assume it's a lot warmer in summer months.
The breakfast buffet is also worth splurging on! They offer foods from all over the world and is totally worth the cost. We spent a good hour or so just trying all the foods they had to offer. There even was a hunk of fresh honey comb where honey dripped off into a bowl to use. You don't get much fresher than that.
The staff here also was very accommodating. They helped call us cabs, gave us exact directions to places we needed along with maps, and any other request we had they helped. I cannot say enough good things about here. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms had room darkening blinds. The bathroom had soap/shampoo dispensers built into the stall which was really nice to help cut down on waste. Just west of the hotel there's the Java Road Open Air Market. I suggest stopping in if you want cheaply priced produce or just want to experience an authentic market. Just past the market and southbound is a bakery (I believe it was called Cherry Bakery on the east side of the road. The egg tarts there are amazing!) When I come back to Hong Kong, I will 100% be coming here again.

Stayed for 4 nights whilst returning from Bali, in Mid November 2019. The location of the hotel was good in terms of local transportation links meaning getting round the city was easy. When we booked this hotel it was not part of the Hyatt group, but was taken over in the intervening months. Having stayed in Hyatt's before this did not trouble me.
However, on arrival check in was inefficient and whilst professional was a little cold in the welcome. Unfortunately, with the odd exception (particularly at the roof top bar (Cruise bar and terrace) where they did give good service) this was a general reflection on the staff throughout the building.
The room was small even though we had upgraded but reflects the crowded nature of Hong Kong where space is at a premium. The room was well appointed, clean and tidy and therefore served its purpose for a city break. The cleaning routine of wanting to clean the room at or before 9am is however frustrating, given that we were on holiday rather than business.
The pool on top of the other tower was a pleasant place, but with limited beds to relax on. Some kind soul had left their half finished drink which was promptly knocked over making a mess, but the staff were again not interested in helping to clean up leaving a sticky area around the sun beds.
Breakfast was, however, plentiful in terms of choice, although again staffed with the surly nature we had come to expect taking the edge off the experience.
We dined in the Cruise restaurant one night - Whilst costlier than you would find elsewhere, I didn't consider the prices to be prohibitive. However with the premium you are paying, I would expect a level of service to match. By way of example we watched as a waiter cleared a table of dirty dishes using a tray (no big issue, but not silver service), which was then promptly left behind another diner's head for ten minutes before being removed to the kitchen.
All in all, a hotel that is 4 star quality and needs some substantial polishing of its customer service to reach the level it claims to be at. Given the choice of hotels in Hong Kong, should we return we would stay somewhere else based on the current offering.
(Apologies for the delay in the review - life got in the way)

Hyatt Victoria Harbor is a nice luxury hotel with excellent views of the harbor. Even though it's slightly far from city center (30-minute walk) it's a very convenient location if you're visiting Hong Kong during the protests as North Point remains a relatively safe area without any activity. Indeed when we checked in, we asked the front desk of any activity in the city and they were very helpful providing us a live tracker URL for protests and blocked MTR lines etc. We visited on New Year's Eve, and unfortunately fireworks show was cancelled. However from rooftop you can watch some of the city illumination. We could see harbor from our room too, but couldn't see much of the area where fireworks happen.
One of the best features of the hotel was infinity pool. Unfortunately they close it at 8 pm. Another thing which wasn't the best was the pool was not heated, and even though there was a whirlpool area it was freezing cold which made it hard to enjoy the pool. Otherwise views from here of the city were excellent, and would've been a great spot to watch New Year's welcome. The sauna in changing room was amazing.
The hotel arranged airport shuttle for us on both sides (for a charge), so it was convenient not having to take the MTR or airport limousine and directly enter the hotel. The room was a nice size, had all the amenities and a great shower. The rooms are very comfortable, and it was a good place to relax as our ability to go out was reduced due to the protests.
The breakfast was overpriced so we didn't eat there. The hotel overall is very pricey but was affordable with Hyatt points valued at 15k per night. The area around the hotel is very nice. Java Market has a lot of local food options, and North Point has great shopping and eating in general.

My father and I had a truly wonderful stay! The hotel is beautiful with everything in great condition, the staff are very friendly and eager to help and although the hotel is situated out of the ‘city’ area, it is located in a residential area which gives you a snippet of ‘old’ Hong Kong. The metro is conveniently located (just a 2 minute walk from the hotel) and should be used as it is the most affordable way to travel. The breakfast!... Truly magnificent. Everything you could imagine eating for breakfast (and more) was available, all situated in a lovely dining room. This hotel is a hidden gem and I doubt it will be left undiscovered for much longer! The only tiny thing that bothered my father and I was the checkin checkout process... It took a long time. We think we experienced some trouble because we booked before the hotel transitioned to Hyatt Centric... Apart from that, there is NOTHING to diss this hotel or its staff about. Just leave a little extra time for checkin checkout. THANKYOU Hyatt Centric, we will be back!

We traveled from Canada to Hong Kong for our first visit ever to Asia. We weren't sure what to expect, but decided to book this hotel because of it's location (proximity to water and metro) and ratings. From the moment we checked in, we were very happy with our decision. The hotel is literally across the street from the metro exit (very well marked from inside). The guest service was exemplary. We had 3 adults staying in the room, and housekeeping arrived shortly after our check-in to make up the pull out sofa, which was surprisingly large and comfortable. We appreciated the little extras (toothbrushes, mini toothpastes, robes, slippers, complimentary water, etc.) and were very happy with the food we ate during our stay at the hotel. One thing we were not expecting was a limited menu (for high tea) between the hours of about 3-5 pm on the rooftop patio. This was one of our favorite places to hang out in between our adventures, as it had craft beer on tap and the complimentary chips were delicious! :) We would definitely recommend this hotel to others and consider it again for future trips.

My girlfriend and I were looking for a hotel which was located in HK island with great deal and we found this hotel with breakfast included. When we first entered the hotel, it had a luxury ambience even the room rate was not that high.
We didn’t wait too long for the queue, possibly we arrived a bit late. The check-in process was smooth, the staff-Anthony helped us to measure body temperature and asked us to fill declaration form. He even helped us to sanitise the room keys before passing to us. Very thoughtful.
The room was assigned on 19/F with a great harbour view. (I believe all the rooms have the same view as the rooms are facing the same direction.) The room was quiet and the bed was very comfy. Everything looked very neat.
The buffet breakfast was decent with a great selection of choices. (The staff even offered hand sanitizer to the guests before entering the buffet sections.)
It was a great experience and we will definitely visit again.
Tips: Try to have breakfast as early as possible to avoid the crowd

We are the Globalist, World of the Hyatt. We were upgraded to the deluxe room with the spectacular view of the Victoria Harbor. We stayed at Hyatt Centric for almost two months. We enjoyed this wonderful hotel and the warm friendly staff. Unfortunately, we had to move to a regular room on every Saturday as we needed to vacate the room for other higher bit patrons. During our stay, we appreciated the housekeepers did an excellent job in cleaning the room and they were mostly very attentive in meeting our needs. Especially housekeepers Suki and Lily did an excellent job and kept up the room so tidy. Well done.
The Lounge team, Sharon and Britney took the time to show their wonderful hospitality regardless it was overwhelmingly busy everyday and every night. Especially Britney always demonstrated her professionalism and she has followed up with our requests or concerns throughout the long two months we were there. Kyle, Howard, Kelvin and Katy were all very helpful. They made us felt right at home.
The breakfast at Farmhouse was very nice. Paula, Raymond, Simon, Brian and Vienn provided excellent service. Especially Paula and Raymond always eager to serve us and they all performed an excellent service regardless how busy they were.
We wanted to thank Vienna from the Front Office who has took initiative to help us settled to stay in our room one of the Saturday that we didn't need to pack and move our 5 luggage.
In summary, Hyatt Centric was one of the best hotel we stayed in. The only problem was that they have too many promotions going on during this pandemic. The hotel was overwhelmed with too many staycation patrons and not able to provide the tiptop service as most Hyatt Centric would have.

My husband and I have recently stayed at Hyatt Centric Hotel for 4 nights. It is very close to a fresh food market (街市), which I would not have guessed there is a luxury hotel right behind it.
The price is very reasonable for the location, service, size of the room amd facilities. I will not hesitate to stay there again the next time I visit HK.
Location wise it is very easy to get to from the airport ~ catch bus A12 and it will take you directly to the hotel (2 mins from the bus stop to the entrance of the hotel).
The MTR is only a mins walk away (North Point A1 exit).
They have a decent size swimming pool on level 23 which is facing the Habour, which is another "plus".
Overall, very happy with my stay.

When I was there I seem to remember reading something about pool maintenance. Fingers crossed it will be open by then but check with the hotel :-)
Both wings came into operation at the same time. Neither one is newer than another. I believe the dirts or dusts you mentioned in comments of some others should be standalone cases and not in reflection of the norm. As far as I know, the housekeeping team maintains a very high hygienic standard during the room make-up process.
Hi, we definitely had bottled water in our room. Not sure if that’s because we had a club room. It had shower Del, shampoo and conditioner in the shower. We also had lots of amenities left in the room such as toothbrush and small toothpaste ect. I don’t remember specifically if there was a shaver. Definitely had a hairdryer we could use.
You will need an extra bed. Otherwise it will not fit.
