For my 2nd stay at Mingle Place by the Park, I booked a single room, to see how the smaller rooms compared to the double or queen, which I had booked last time. The Single room is very small, the bed is narrower than a normal single bed, but the rest was perfect - clean, well organized and very friendly...

It's 5 in the morning and I have not slept even for 20 seconds. There is a never-ending line of trucks and buses driving by that shake the bed. The walls are indeed paper-thin towards the front road. There is no refund and I don't know what I'm going to do tomorrow night. I haven't been sick in over a...

Handy for Wan Chai and Causeway Bay etc and a fairly good nod to the Wan Chai of yesteryear. I stayed in the older part of the hotel (which has been open I believe for around 3 years or so). If you're looking for a bit of Suzie Wong inspiration this is the place. Wonderful black & and white photos...

I've stayed at Mingle by the Park 2 times in Hong Kong. For the price on Hong Kong island, it's a decent deal even if the rooms are very small. The only problem I had was one night the air condition, which is over the foot of the bed, dripped all night. I was drunk enough not to care that...

Tiny room but clean and well kept. Very noisy indeed, the walls seemed paper thin and there is building work going on right next door so any lay in you might be planning needs to be scrapped. Excellent location walking distance of everything you need.

Well-located hotel with historic character. Walking distance to markets and cafes in Wan Chai. No elevator, but can be accessed by using the elevator of the new extension, Mingle Place with the Stars. No F&B outlet but plenty of restaurants nearby. Good stay.

You wouldn't put your mother- in- law in this place. on wan chai road whilst convenient it's right on the bus stop which makes it the noisiest place in hong kong. in life you only get what you pay for this hotel is the exception very pricey on the bang for your buck scale. pay the extra and stay in...

Great location, right in the middle of the action. An old Chinese style apartment building converted into a guesthouse. For Asia, it's fantastic! Rooms are clean, tiled floor, simple bathroom with good hot water pressure (not guaranteed even at $$$ hotels!). Bed was firm and crisp white sheets - no complaints. I stayed in Rm 203 - a "Lite Room...

Mingle by the Park is located in Wanchai (on HK island) and therefore in an excellent location if you come to discover Hong Kong for a few days. The rooms are equipped with a tv, wifi and an entertainment systems that allows you to watch movies for free. My room was facing the street and therefore loud and on the...

Staying in Wan Chai / Causeway Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Wan Chai / Causeway Bay
Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are the retail centres of Hong Kong Island. Filled with shops, malls and restaurants, both areas are bustling with people – tourists and locals alike. Causeway Bay has one of the highest rents on the planet, and is a bit more polished and modern than its Wan Chai counterpart. Beneath the surface there is more than meets the eye – find boutique stores in the above ground floors of buildings and wander into side streets to find interesting restaurants and shops tucked away from the main roads. Wan Chai especially has experienced a modern revival in recent times, with an influx of trendy restaurants and bars around the Star Street area. In addition, both areas contain many of Hong Kong’s iconic tourist attractions worthy of your visit.
