Location wise it's excellent, right in the centre of wan chai with what seems like a million bars and restaurants on your doorstep plus the MTR station and tram less than 100m away. My serviced apartment was a L shaped studio With sliding door separating the bedroom from the lounge and a cool swivel TV so you can watch TV...

A very handy place to base yourself in Hong Kong. Everything is easily accessible either by walking, train or bus. Apartments are kitted out very well and serviced on a regular basis. Staff have been helpful. It's not luxurious but neither is it basic, comfy springs to mind.

I spent the last 6 months in Hong Kong for work and I couldn't have ended up in a better place than the Johnston Suites. These apartments are located in Wan Chai, a very buzzy area with a good mix of local places and trendy bars and eateries. The apartments are very comfortable with everything I needed. The staff is...

In the past three years I have spent a total of 13.5 months in this serviced apartment complex. I could not have asked for a better place to stay in Hong Kong, with a short commute to Central for work and even shorter to a great night out in LKF or the bars of Wanchai and Happy Valley/Causeway Bay. The...

Stayed here during summer for 3 months. A very convenient location with the tram stop at the doorstep and Wanchai MTR station 3min walk away. A food haven. Food stalls, cafes, restaurants, supermarket, banks, tour agencies etc are in the vicinity. There is complimentary coffee/tea and grab-and-go breakfast consisting of croissants, bread, cereals, juices and fruits on weekdays. Life saviour...

Stayed here for a month and so glad that we did. Good location - 25 mins walk to Central and 25 mins walk to Causeway Bay, very convenient. Cleaning done twice a week and cooking facilities are quite good (an oven would have been nice if I'm really picky, but so far I haven't even used the hob!)

I stayed here for business for 5 months and it was a home away from home. The beauty of the location is the fact that there is a clear view out over Southorn Playground, and the closeness to the MTR, Tram (right outside the door) and the buses to Stanley. It is so easy to get to places from there....

I've spent 1 month to stay at Johnston Suites and it was really nice and enjoyable. The front desk staff are really friendly and helpful and the breakfast provided in weekdays is awesome. They have also renovated the gym room and swimming pool.

This is an excellent quality serviced apartment. The staff are very very friendly and helpful. There is an amazing cafe called passion next door, ask the hotel staff to borrow the discount card for 20 percent off. The only let down was the swimming pool. It is tiny and pointless really. I believe it is a jet training pool but...

Staying in Wan Chai / Causeway Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Wan Chai / Causeway Bay
Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are the retail centres of Hong Kong Island. Filled with shops, malls and restaurants, both areas are bustling with people – tourists and locals alike. Causeway Bay has one of the highest rents on the planet, and is a bit more polished and modern than its Wan Chai counterpart. Beneath the surface there is more than meets the eye – find boutique stores in the above ground floors of buildings and wander into side streets to find interesting restaurants and shops tucked away from the main roads. Wan Chai especially has experienced a modern revival in recent times, with an influx of trendy restaurants and bars around the Star Street area. In addition, both areas contain many of Hong Kong’s iconic tourist attractions worthy of your visit.
