I have tried few hostels in Hongkong and this one is nr one. Great central location but rooms are quiet so you don't need to sleep with earplugs . My room was big as for the local standards with comfy bed, clean sheets and lockers. You can rent a nice clean big towel for free - just pay deposit ....

I booked a single room for 3 nights, placed in Kingston building infront of Patterson building where the reception office is. For 3 nights, no one make up the room, only take the garbage, and on Sunday, no one take your garbage, so better put it out side your room to prevent bed smeels inside. The room is not big...

Stayed in Hong Kong Hostel 4 nights. Location couldn't be any better and the room was cleen and nice. Minor minus for the wi-fi that didn't work in my room, but the one in the lobby worked perfectly. Special thanks to Amy for warm welcome upon arrival :)

Overpriced for a private room in the heart of causeway bay, considering I had to go through two different buildings to get my keys before getting to my private room. Walls were falling apart and full of mould and the toilet door did not close properly, top of with no hot water and the room was too cramped in general....

Excellent location and it has hot water, thats the only good thing I can say about my stay. I booked a 2 night stay only to be told on check in I will need to change rooms the following day and to come back at 11am. The first room they put me in was not in the Paterson building as...

This hostels main selling points is the location and the cat. Our double room had no window( we called it the cave-no natural light)and could do with a major upgrade; the biggest points being there is hardly any plug sockets (so putting make up on is a bit difficult) The sheets were never changed as we could only see the...

Due to it being very expensive generally in Hong Kong, getting my own room (so I could deal with hangovers in my own space) was tricky. The room here was a good size, cheaper than hotels anywhere in the city and offered the basic stuff I needed. The drawback to this is that it is located weirdly. In another building...

Staying in Wan Chai / Causeway Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Wan Chai / Causeway Bay
Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are the retail centres of Hong Kong Island. Filled with shops, malls and restaurants, both areas are bustling with people – tourists and locals alike. Causeway Bay has one of the highest rents on the planet, and is a bit more polished and modern than its Wan Chai counterpart. Beneath the surface there is more than meets the eye – find boutique stores in the above ground floors of buildings and wander into side streets to find interesting restaurants and shops tucked away from the main roads. Wan Chai especially has experienced a modern revival in recent times, with an influx of trendy restaurants and bars around the Star Street area. In addition, both areas contain many of Hong Kong’s iconic tourist attractions worthy of your visit.
