This hotel has a great location; it's close to the subway, with a free shuttle from Kowloon Station (if you use the train to get to and from the airport); it's near the Jade Market and Lady Street for shopping; and there are plenty of cheap eateries in the area. The hotel has a good breakfast buffet, but it's relatively...

I was here for one night. Location is amazing. One minute from subway and Nathan road. Wifi in the room is free and fast. They even upgraded me to a suite. They also have a free shuttle to Kowloon station and from there you take the airport express.

The hotel is at a convenient location, 2mins walk to MTR, Ladies market and night market. Rooms are rather small but I have heard HK hotels are famous for small rooms. They give free WIFI but breakfast was not included for us. The restaurant service is very slow so its best to eat out. We went to their restaurant which...

We stayed for 3 nites at this hotel. The nearest MTR station is just 3 minutes away. That is Yau Ma Tei station. 7 Eleven is just opposite this hotel. Service from the front desk was top standard. Room was clean but kind of old. We did not like the washroom. Looked rather old. The hotel is within walking distance...

We've stayed in this hotel for 3 nights (Oct 25-29, 2013) and very happy with this. The room is quite small (as normal in Hong Kong) but well organized and fully equiped for guests. Especially, transportation to/from this hotel is very convenient: be in the list of hotels having free shutter bus to drop/pick up customer from/to Airport Express station(Kowloon...

We stayed for 3 nights in adjoining rooms. We were given rooms 1717 & 19 which were right in front of the lifts but we heard no noise from them. After reading reviews of this and other HK hotels I was expecting my family(mostly 6ft+) to be banging heads on ceilings and doing contortions in the room. We were ecstatic...

Traveled to Hong Kong recently to visit Lantau Island and other tourist attractions. We are warmly greeted by a friendly well groomed lady receptionist. She is prompt and efficient. She takes less than 10 minutes to check us in without hassle. It is meaningful and enriching a deluxe room booking is upgraded to an Executive room on highest 17th floor...

Staying in Jordan / Yau Ma Tei

Neighbourhood Profile
Jordan / Yau Ma Tei
The Jordan and Yau Ma Tei neighbourhood is where you will find some of the more authentic areas of Hong Kong. Not as glamourous or busy as its neighbours Mong Kok to the north or Tsim Sha Tsui to the south, Yau Ma Tei is often mistakenly overlooked by visitors on their trips to Hong Kong. Exploring parts of this area makes you feel like you’ve been transported back in time. A large part of the neighbourhood draws from the rich history of Temple Street, stretching from Jordan to Yau Ma Tei, where a mix of dai pai dongs (outdoor restaurants), market stalls, fortune tellers and old karaoke bars bring out the history and culture of the area. The neighbourhood is a showcase of diversity – different ethnicities, cultures, and a mix of old and new.
