I was on the 16th floor in the back. Construction machines outside rumbles all night long. The AC vents also rattled until I finally shut off the AC. And since I wore a t-shirt to sleep I was bitten all over both arms by bed bugs!

Great atmosphere and clean hotel! Close to shopping mall and MTR just 2minutes away, make so convenient when traveling with young kids!!! Every dollar is worth spending here!!! Hairdressers (so cheap- wash and blow dry only 50HK dollar), foot massage (45minutes only 80HK dollars) can't complain!! Other than shop till you drop here, make sure you bring plenty cash!!!

Have been selecting this hotel for the past 3 times that I had been in Hong Kong. With the renovation, the place looks neater. However, the premier deluxe rooms seem smaller as compared to the Superior rooms which I had stayed previously.

This is third time at The Cityview. Location is the main selling point of The Cityview. You've got Yau Ma Tei MTR station just across the hotel's entrance, walking distance to Mongkok for you shopping and the Airport Express and Vigor transfer service just outside the hotel. Room wise, it was a huge improvement from the last time I stayed,...

Location is great, very close to MTR Yaumatei station. We got a free upgrade to a bigger room and a handy phone. Room is spacious, clean and modern. There is a casual restaurant just across from the hotel serves pretty good HK style breakfast. Staff is polite.

The location of this hotel was super, less than 2 minutes walk to the Yau Ma Tei MTR, and within walking distance to the two popular night markets - Temple Street Night Market and Ladies Night Market in Tung Choi Street. Nearby eateries include the Temple Street Hing kee Claypot Rice Restaurant and the Sham Tseng Chan Kee Roasted Goose....

We stayed 4 days and found the Cityview a very pleasant place, excellent location and with a professional, friendly and helpful staff. The food was good, the room well maintained and the view from the floor we were on was great.

An oasis in the bustling city. Plants were gorgeous. Food great and room fine. Only negative was that the pool was next door in YMCA and hours were very restricted. Selection at the breakfast buffet was enormous. Hotel is trying to be green which is good, although our towels were washed when we said we didn't need it.

The concierge staff was rude and disrespectful. Check in/out reception was Ok. There is no complimentary bottled water unlike many other establishments in the Hong Kong/Kowloon area. Would consider returning but only if necessary.

Staying in Jordan / Yau Ma Tei

Neighbourhood Profile
Jordan / Yau Ma Tei
The Jordan and Yau Ma Tei neighbourhood is where you will find some of the more authentic areas of Hong Kong. Not as glamourous or busy as its neighbours Mong Kok to the north or Tsim Sha Tsui to the south, Yau Ma Tei is often mistakenly overlooked by visitors on their trips to Hong Kong. Exploring parts of this area makes you feel like you’ve been transported back in time. A large part of the neighbourhood draws from the rich history of Temple Street, stretching from Jordan to Yau Ma Tei, where a mix of dai pai dongs (outdoor restaurants), market stalls, fortune tellers and old karaoke bars bring out the history and culture of the area. The neighbourhood is a showcase of diversity – different ethnicities, cultures, and a mix of old and new.
