My husband and i stayed at kings joy hotel and found it overall fine for the price. You get what you pay for. The location is very convenient and you get a bit of local feel when you stay here. The rooms are decent size. However, the staff are very unfriendly so if you stay here do your research beforehand,...

This hotel has a good location close to Qianmen subway station and shopping streets. However, the hotel is very simple and the room furniture ugly. Wi-fi also does not work well. It was possible to pay with a credit card. Just for a one or two nights stay.

I was so happy when I saw the room because it was way better than what I expected! I booked a hostel but got a hotel. The location is perfect: 10 minutes walk to the Tiananmen Square. It's in the big street so i wasn't difficult to find it. And the hutongs were all around (which to me is awesome)....

Arrived around 1030 pm. Reception staff struggle with English but got booked in ok. Rooms were o.k and beds on hardish side but o.k. Good security with door cards for lift area and rooms. Bathroom not flash. See Nancy on 1st floor (just through security door on right same floor as reception) re tours and train tickets. She is lovely!...

I've honestly never written a bad hotel review, but Kings Joy deserves one. Cons: 1. I checked in at 3pm. I got a call at 11pm from the lobby (while sleeping) asking for my company's name for whatever reason (I work in Shanghai), instead of simply asking me the next morning for it. 2. The hotel's staff are unfriendly and...

Not much to say except pretty good for the price we paid, their tour desk/shop is quite handy as were the self-use laundry room (we had just camped for two days when we arrived). Rooms were tidy enough but a little tired. Hotel itself is in a good location with two shopping streets offering good local eats (steamed buns in...

Kings Joy is a hotel/hostel located at Dashikar hutong, very close to Tiannamen Sq. We had an offer and get a great price for a deluxe room. The breakfast is everyday the same, mostly oriental food. The service is very kind, however is quite hard to find people with a fluid English (ask for Nancy, she is very nice and...

For the money we payed, we are very satisfied about this hotel. It was clean and very close to Qianmen Square. The street were it is located has also lovely little not touristic restaurant. Get ready to have a hard time comunicating with the staff. They don't speak any Englis

This is located in a hotel cum hostel close to Tianemen Square. The food is typical Chinese but well cooked and presented. It's a bit tricky to find as you have to walk through the hotel lobby, past reception and down a corridor. You don't have to be a guest in the hotel to dine there.

I stayed at the Kings Joy for a few days and the hotel was acceptable for what I paid. I expected an old hotel but the cleanliness leaves something to be desired in terms of dirty walls and floors ( I spilled something on the floor that I sopped up with a towel...the towel was grey at the end). I...
