The staff at the lounge in crowne plaza lido are so warm and so nice. service are impeccable and feel just like home. The lounge is at the top level of the hotel with a great view. Two thumbs up for the lounge staff…:-)
Excellent staying experience of Beijing Lido, not only the breakfast is outstanding but also the hospitality of the front reception made me feel like coming back home. Thumbs up for the outstanding service and I Will be back for sure.
I will admit being a 6’ western blonde in Beijing at the moment is rare. My daughter is 6’5” and is rare in most places. But to pay to have a dinner in an international hotel and have the Staff stand and openly take pictures of you as you move around the buffet is beyond rude. The food here is very good, but being made to feel like a monkey in a zoo took the edge off the night.
Nice hotel and a reasonably good location. 2km from Indigo Mall. Close to airport expressway and 4th ring road. Entry is a bit congested with health and travel check as you enter rather than at reception. Check-in itself is quick and friendly. Despite the cold outside our room was too warm. The air-conditioning is set to heating for winter so will not cool room. Fortunately double windows so opening the inside window helped cool the room without letting in the pollution. Rate was very good and we would stay again. Picture is view from the Club Lounge.
Amazing breakfast, and food in general, in the restaurant attached to this hotel. They had great coffee, and snacks for anytime of the day. They were very helpful to us, and helped us book our tickets to the Forbidden City. Our rooms were very comfortable, and the Service was great! In Beijing you can't drink the tap water, and we requested probably 10 water bottles a day, which they were happy to bring up! So friendly, it made our introduction to China very positive. To visit downtown Beijing we ended up taking DiDis, this wasn't a problem, and was very cost effective.
The pool is a 33m lap pool, the fitness center provides for most people's needs and the executive lounge is a good place to relax with a friendly staff. Never ate more than breakfast there so I can not comment on restaurants, Rooms are nice and well maintained by a very pleasant staff
We stayed 5 nights in this hotel and had a great experience. We opted for an upgrade to a corner suite which was spacious, luxurious and comfortable. The club lounge on the 22nd floor was a welcome refuge from the cold weather in Beijings winter. The ladies at the 22nd floor lounge were fantastic, Tina, the supervisor was friendly, informative and always welcoming, a big thank you to her and the team for looking after us so well. The breakfast had lots of options and was very generous. We booked a tour to the Great Wall through the front desk and it was excellent.
I travel a lot, mostly on business, and rely on hotel management to provide a pleasant, surprise free environment. At the Beijing Lido, all is as it should be. Smooth check-in, clean rooms, excellent meals, great service. Worthy of special comment is one of the front counter staff: Shu Li. I foolishly left my passport on the plane and didn't discover this until check-in. Shu immediately got on the phone with the airport and STAYED in contact until my passport was tracked down. This took nearly two hours, during which time I was able to have a delicious dinner. Once everything was set, I returned to the airport and retrieved my passport in minutes. Shu's efforts saved me immeasurable inconvenience and is a reflection of management's focus on real customer service. I will stay here again and recommend Crowne Plaza Lido to my friends and coworkers.…
Service is nice. Fitness center and Swimming pool are top level infrastructure. Localisation is very good (depend on meetings place, of course). The Breakfast is worth the try. I will definitely keep going there.
We arrived at 1am after a long flight, and with an appointment nearby in the afternoon thought we’d treat ourselves to a sleep in (Noon checkout) at the Crowne Plaza (not cheap, especially for an 11 hour stay!). The room was large, two double beds made up as one huge super king bed, and very nice and clean bathroom, so it should have provided the rest we needed. But it was not to be. Middle of a bitterly cold winter, so the room thermostat was locked at 24 degrees, which is typically Chinese, overheated; so throw off the covers, so tired could sleep anywhere.... Maintenance “bang bang bang bang” work on a nearby room started about 8am, so a pillow over the head and roll back over to sleep. Then at 8:45am Laundry service wouldn’t give up ringing the doorbell. “Do you have any laundry , sir? Which part of “check out today at noon” suggests I had time for a laundry service (with return laundry promised for 6pm)? So I rang reception and said I wanted to sleep and please no more interruptions. Anyway our displeasure was noted because when we checked out (just before noon) the Duty Manager informed us she had authorised late check out for us! Ummm, given we were standing at Reception with our suitcases it was a little late to tell us now. “But we couldn’t tell you, because you asked not to be disturbed”. Very true, although having been woken up, we were at breakfast before 10am....(which was very good) So they were trying to please, and very apologetic for not giving us the opportunity to sleep in that we craved, but just failed in their execution.…
