Stayed to attend a business function. As a Platinum member, I was given an upgraded spacious suite on the Club Level. I enjoyed the stay. Bedding and bedding were great and made for a comfortable sleep. Staff members were very friendly, attentive, and helpful.
This is definitely the worst hotel bread I have had in months. Everything is arranged beautifully on tables for self service. The fruit is beautifully arranged, fries eggs are neatly stacked and bread rolls and cakes of many styles are artfully arranges, but all at the expense of freshness and quality. Bread that should be fresh is dried out; croissants are crisp all the well through. Eggs ate cold. Coffee is lukewarm and weak. Cold cuts are cold but so are the pork sausages. Perhaps if I came later I would get fresh, warm food rather than yesterday’s leftovers. Service is inattentive and seems confused. Find a Starbucks.
Very limited facilities at present because of the renovations but staff very friendly and helpful and location very convenient for the Financial Street district. Your 200 word minimum is very unnecessary and irritating
We stayed here as part of a tour. There is a umber of staff that speak English, which is very helpful when you do not speak Mandarin. Check in was prompt even with a number of guests late at night. Breakfast staff a lot of them spoke English and breakfast catered for all diets and nationalities. Always warm and welcoming. Rooms clean tidy and all the room amenities you could ask for. High end shopping mall close to hotel. Taxis always available. This hotel continues to uphold the Westin 5 star level of service. Currently in the middle of an upgrade so some hotel amenities unavailable.
Upon arriving at the Westin hotel, I was left impressed with every aspect. My car door was opened by a wonderful member of the concierge team - his name was Brave and was a true gentleman; he appeared proud to represent the hotel. Although some renovation work was being undertaken in the lobby, I was not left disturbed by this and the front-desk staff explained many key and important factors which made my stay enjoyable. I was checked in by a Chinese lady called Mary, she explained everything in detail and ensured I went to my room satisfied. On the evening, I went down to the restaurant. Again, renovation was apparent but this did not detract from a great dining experience. I enjoyed the buffet menu and was able to eat a wonderful array of sashimi, chargrilled meats and salads. Sadly, I’m on a diet. Had I not been, I’d have eaten so much more. One thing which impressed me was the staff’s command of the English language. Sadly, my chinese is limited but that was not an issue at the Westin. They even have a robot at the front door which offers check-in and out instructions in a host of languages. I will be back very soon!…
