The hotel has been constructed just before the Olympic games, and it has not been renovated since. Therefore the rooms looks a little bit old. There was some construction going on during my stay so I assume that they are planning to renovate it for the next winter Olympics. The western restaurant is lacking of quality but it is quite... Having twice stayed at the nearby National Jade, I can tell you this is definitely an upgrade on that - although it is far from perfect. There is dodgy wifi and I was accused of not paying for room service when I had paid with cash the previous night. The rooms had not had any love since the 2008 Olympics... More

it is a relic from 1980s, and not touched since then, I guess banking on being next to the Beijing Olympic Park. The hotel is very disappointing and even at Chinese levels would hardly make 3 stars. Rooms are very small, bathroom is even smaller, they still have the bathtub (very old) with shower curtain (very old too). When I... More

The hotel was clean and the price which l found by priceline was very reasonable! Also, breakfasts was various and exciting! Totally, I'm satisfied!! Just the receptionists couldn't speak English fluently like other hotels! But they were so kind.

I reviewed this just 3 hour after checkin The bird nest is just on my room window Location seemed to be ok Room are clean but seemed more like a shop where everything is tagged with price so you can purchase if you forgot things Overall it is not a bad hotel.

Luckily we only had to stay here for one night. As previous reviewers have said the staff were very unhelpful, the cost for the room was out of proportion to the comfort. The food in TGI's next door was great. The only redeeming feature for me was the fact you are in a plum spot for the Birds Nest Stadium.

This hotel was booked for me as part of a business trip to Beijing, to give this review some immediate context me colleague only lasted 2 days before checking out and moving to the Hotel Eclat. This hotel has one of the grandest foyers of any hotel with one exception, no lobby seating... you are meant to stand and wait... More

Unless you are visiting the Birds Nest Stadium avoid. The staff were in the main rude and unhelpful. I was given a twin room despite asking for a double and had to ask to be switched. At first the reception seemed unwilling to do this but given I was staying there for 14 nights they finally relented. The reading light... More
