My wife and I spent three nights at this hotel during a leg of our first trip to China that included stays in both Beijing and Shanghai. The hotel is located about 1.5 miles from the Beijing Zoo and since we spent a great deal of time being shuttled to tour sites, I can't speak honestly about the convenience of...

The lobby is beautiful but the guest room I stayed in was way overdue for a facelift. My room was quite large, had a fabulous view and seemed clean, but there was a tattered feeling. Despite a plethora of confusing light switches, the room was dark and dingy. It was also way too hot in the room and there was...

Spent 4 nights in this hotel as part of a tour of China. The hotel was really nice. Rooms were beautiful. A number of nice restaurants in the hotel. Japanese restaurant particularly nice. Money exchange machines readily available for exchanging currencies as well as card withdrawls. Good exchange rates. Carrefour store across the road. Close to Beijing zoo.

Checked in late October weather was between -4 and 8 degC. Room large but even with window open room temp was between 21-26deg C. No air conditioning!!! They turn it off in winter. Room smelt smoky even though non smoking room(possibly pollution from keeping window open to cool room!) TV old style, 3 English channels. Hot water was slow and...

First, the room. It's huge, with foyer, living room, "guest" restroom, bathroom, and bedroom. Lots of space, that you can do cartwheel in it. Bathroom is clean. Reserve enough time for check-in and check-out, it does take a while for the front desk to work on the system. Dinner at the Chinese restaurant is so-so, breakfast buffet is a chaos,...

3 nights here, close to the zoo, visited and saw the pandas. Busy traffic, luckily we were high enough to escape the noise. Fast lifts, good breakfast buffet choice, large bedroom and good en-suite. All v clean

The heading describes the hotel. The rooms are a bit dated and need some refurbishment. However, housekeeping is excellent with linen and towel changes daily. Very friendly and professional staff. We ate in the Coffee Shop and the Golden Palace Restaurant and enjoyed the quality of food and service @ reasonable prices. We enjoyed our 3 nights.

Nice large hotel close to Beijing zoo. Rooms adequate, beds firm but we slept well. Good breakfast with western and eastern options. We were with a tour so can't say whether good value for money as it was a package deal. Some used the pool, and weren't allowed in without bathing caps, which were available for hire (or purchase?). Friendly...

This is my third stay in a comfortable room on a non-smoking, business-level floor. The essentials: Typically firm bed with both hard and soft pillows, plenty of electrical outlets, quick room service, pleasant staff, always able to find someone who speaks English. Higher floors give beautiful views of the city through large windows. Peep-hole in the door allows a preview...

When you enter this hotel the foyer is opulent. However when you get the lift to your room and step outside you are let down. Drab hallways and rooms basic. Buffet breakfast each day was varied. We had a buffet dinner one night which was fairly basic.
