Last month, I lived in Beijing from Shanghai for a week, but I felt ok overall. Check-in was a little complicated, health code was required, nucleic acid negative certificate was required, and JINGCHEN SPA on the second floor had a very bad experience. The technician was No. 70 and her name was EMMA, and she provided some bad services!
warm, efficient service of the service staff, whether at the check in counters, concierge, horizon lounge....impeccable. Breakfast in the Horizon Lounge is of top quality, and service of the staff was efficient, excellent at all times. Other amenities such as the swimming pool, gym and steam room are great amenities for business travelers to relax and recover. Great location of the hotel, and travel to/from the airport is convenient relative to many other hotels. Must stay at this hotel for sure.
It was like being at home! I was warmly welcomed by Nancy and Philip Xu at executive lounge, even after such a period of not being guest amid pandemic. I was treated as member of a family, everything was so smooth. I wish I can be back as early as I could. Thank you guys!
Excellent hotel and facilities. Located right in the center of CBD. Great variety to choose from at the morning breakfast. Location is perfect to get anywhere in Beijing. Rooms size is great. Staff throughout the hotel is extremely helpful and nice. Highly recommended.
very good foods for friends gathering, recommend, looking forward next time to come, the food is so delisou and servise is fantastic, beverage is outstanding, food station decorations are so charming.Good.
Excellent services. From concierge to horizon club to housekeeping, all of the staff are excellent. They understand my needs and try their best to sort out all my problems. My only choice in Beijing is China World Hotel.
Spent a very enjoyable 2 nights at this property which, though 30 years old, appears to be immaculately maintained. According to staff, the non-Club floor rooms were renovated 8 years ago, whilst the Club rooms were re-done 2 years ago - my room looked and smelt fresh, with a palette of light earth tones of beige and cream. Slept very soundly on a very comfortable bed, with quiet AC, sound insulation, complemented by free, fast Wifi and excellent shower pressure. The only downside is that the room is rather compact for a luxury hotel - it looked like it measured 35 - 38 square metres, with the bed completely dominating the room, with a chaise long by the window. Note that there is no bath - shower only, Toiletries from L'Occitane. The Horizon Club lounge, situated on the 3rd floor, has to be one of the largest Club or Executive lounges which I have ever experienced, with a vast quantity of seating (mostly at dining tables, although there are some sofa sections nearer the entrance), with breakfast (0630-1030), "all day" (1130-1700) and evening drinks and canapés (1730-1930) presentations daily. The breakfast was excellent, offering a buffet selection of Western and Asian favourites complemented by an extensive a la carte menu - definitely won't go hungry. The a la carte dishes were very good, particularly the scrambled eggs! The "all day" spread is very limited, comprising 2 types of sandwiches, some cakes and whole fruit. A series of glass-fronted refrigerators stock a variety of non-alcoholic beverages to which guests help themselves. The evening spread was quite satisfying, offering sufficient for a dinner if one did not wish to venture out, with an equivalent buffet of Western and Chinese options, although no a la carte dishes. In the basement is a heated lap pool, gym and locker rooms containing steam rooms, whirlpools and saunas. Clearly, everything is from an earlier era, but like the rest of the hotel, well maintained. The hotel is one of 4 properties owned and managed by the Shangri-la group, anchoring the gargantuan China World complex, including retail, office and convention centre components. Beware of getting lost! The lobby is quite unique - very grand and Chinese in style, with red and gilt-edged columns, patterned rugs, lavish marble and crystal chandeliers - a nice change from the blandness which is common at so many chain hotels. All staff were uniformly helpful and friendly - special thanks to Phillip and Nancy at the Horizon Club lounge for their professionalism and making me feel so welcome.…
Excellent location, good facilities, convenient for business trip in Beijing CBD; Excellent service as well! Especially thanks to Tiffany Wang (Jie Wang) she is really an outstanding staff!! Great experience.
Staff, management and the exceptional atmosphere of this outstanding residency made our two month long stay feel like "home away from home". A classic hotel in an modern environment and the benefit of having one of the best shopping and entertainment malls of Beijing at your doorstep. The concierge and room service proofs that "people make the difference". Five stars well deserved.
This hotel has brought me a very comfortable stay experience, and I found that it can keep good communication with guests. I hope this hotel can maintain the standard of the time-honored brand as always.
