I stayed in this hotel for five nights in September. The Holiday Inn turned out to be very nice. Rooms are spacious and beds are great. The hotel staff was very helpful. Breakfast (included in our rate) turned out to be spectacular.

A nice business hotel with clean rooms and facilities, but not much stood out. Biggest downside was its location--a bit isolated and few restaurants nearby. Qinghua U. and Wudaokou, two major locations in the area, are too far to walk to, and need to talk taxi...More

Wasn’t expecting anything much from the Holiday Inn brand but this hotel is great. Good room, good staff and good breakfast. Perfect for a quick overnight trip, provided you have meetings nearby as the traffic is permanently terrible.More

Very friendly and helpful hotel staff. Large rooms in quite American style. Location quite central to university. The best thing was the excellent breakfast buffet with a wealth of Asian food, but also western standards. I can highly recommend this hotel.More

A taxi is best, bearing in mind that NOBODY speaks English needless to say that it's like no other country so it's difficult to get around mainly because of yet he language barrier. The hotel will be able to instruct the taxi driver, but I advise and suggest that you book outings and excursion through the hotel. There are many to choose from.

PieterTMP's response is exactly what I would say. Just get a regular taxi from the airport. The trip is moderately long (30+ minutes even when traffic is light) but not too expensive (less than USD20). At the airport ignore the fancily-dressed people and go for a regular taxi from the taxi rank--you'll get there just as fast:). The queue for taxis at the airport can be quite long, especially late at night when public transportation is less frequent, but it moves very fast so don't stress--you''ll have a taxi within 15 minutes. Be sure to bring the full hotel address in Chinese. My driver had to enter it into his GPS--Beijing is so big that even taxi drivers don't know every hotel. When you depart from the hotel the front desk can call a taxi for you as well. Best to give them a few hours notice though--it can take up to an hour to get a taxi out to the hotel during peak traffic times.
