This location was convenient because I was in Beijing to visit a friend. Otherwise it's kind of far away though still pretty convenient with the subway system. This hostel was good but didn't meet many other travelers here, pretty quiet. The cleaners kept on entering my room, someone should tell them to do their work and leave and stop re-entering....

Great hostel. Quiet. Loved the staff. Had computer, pool table for guests. Quiet in side street 10 minute walk from metro. you exit metro line 2 metro jishuitan station take exit d, turn right and cross road under underpass then immediately left to cross road again. You are now diagonally opposite the metro exit. Follow website instructions. (Previous part was...

The courtyard is a chill place for hanging out, there's a bar resto for socializing, and a study area with sofa for doing your own work. The location is in a local neighborhood which was nice because it's not touristy but still convenient to get food, massage, and stuff for daily life. Some of the staff are very helpful with...

We actually stayed at Heyuan for two whole weeks - as it was conveniently located for the family member we were visiting in Beijing. Like all hostels, you don't go there for a four star hotel experience, but as a good comfortable place to set off from which can offer advice, and the chance to hook up with fellow travellers....

This place is clean and tidy but it is lacking any vibe or communal spirit. The staff are not very helpful- only do the bare minimum. There is no place to get cool water to fill up water bottles. I know this is China but it would be nice to cater for everyone's tastes :) Not particularly central, and a...

This hostel had everything that I wanted. A clean and quiet private room overlooking the courtyard with a comfortable bed. The courtyard is beautiful and a great place to read. I think they slightly overdo it with the number of signs and rules but that is forgivable.

Very spacious environment. I got a room with 6 male only beds (it's a little odd for me to be sleeping in the room with another female I don't know). The room was only occupied by four. Good place to meet people however, if you don't know the language could be problematic. Nice outside area and the staff is good...

A 18 days stay in this hostel, makes me an experienced guest in this hostel. The building looks lovely,it is situated easy traffic wise for any visits in this widespread city, the staff is very help full with any questions one might have. Except of a cozy bar area, there is a different place where people can work, concentrate, and the facilities are really sufficient....

Great courtyard environment, plenty of common areas indoors and out, all indoors is non-smoking. Dorms quite spacious and enormous lockers.. Staff competent but not especially friendly. The bar is overpriced:for a hostel and the drinks are largely boycotted - especially now that the clientele of this hostel (and most in China) is increasingly Chinese. Visited during the World Cup but...

“We had a private room with ensuite, but friends were in the dorms and were comfortable. Get a first-floor room that opens to the courtyard - it becomes a huge "living room" attached to your room so you don't feel confined in your own room.”
