The staff are very nice, and really helpful - couldn't fault them at all. The hotel is in a good position 5 minutes walk from the metro station. The bathrooms are very strange, as they have glass walls, and give no privacy, which is really weird, but not a problem for married couples I suppose. They have a problem with...

Most hotels in China are either focused on foreign tourists, or on Chinese guests. In the big hotel chains, you can expect an anonymous yet luxury hotel but totally miss the local atmosphere. In typical Chinese hotels, the staff only speaks Chinese and some hotels will say that they have no rooms available because of their unfamiliarity with foreign guests....

My son and I have spent 2 weeks in this hotel. That was a really good experience. The room was cleaned up every day. The towels that we used were changed every day. The staff was very helpful. The decoration is interesting. The location is interesting. This is a typical Chinese area. There are touristic areas at walking distance: Lama...

Hi all It was a bit difficult to find and the taxi driver dropped me more or less in front of the Lama Temple. Its important that you have a CHINESe PRINTOUT of the Hotel with you. Everyone was very friendly, helpful and it was a great experience to find the hotel. Situation is really nice - literally you are...

PRO: This hotel is located in the middle of Fangjia Hutong, a cool street for party and restaurant that is stil not too busy and where you can find a great mix of foreigners and Chinese locals. The hotel staff is nice and they are doing their best to help you. CONS: 2 subway stations are 12 minutes walk, which...

Maybe "funky" is a better word. This hotel is set back in a hutong about 1 km from the Andingmen metro station. The area is in the midst of gentrication yet there are things in the neighborhood that probably looked much the same in 1970. All the basic amenities are provided plus a few extras like a piece of origami....

Nice hotel perfectly located in the Hutong. Room & staff are nice. Only strange thing is the fact that you can be seen by others when you are in the restroom... The curtain does not hide a lot so maybe it's not the perfect match if you prefer some intimacy :) Besides that, I would totally recommend this hotel

I mean horrible. We stayed a week and loved the location. The Hutong was great to wander around in, lots of restaurants nearby. Breakfast...ugh. the "coffee" wasn't. The steamed buns weren't fresh. The bread was bottom of the barrel. And you had to get a ticket every morning to get it and every morning we went through the same pantomime...

I spent two nights here.It is very clean comfortable and the staff were always smiling and helpful. I had to pay cash because the visa machine was on the blink, otherwise I couldn't fault it. Within easy walking distance of the Confucius and Yonghe Lama temples. The Lama temple rented me a gizmo with earphones that sensed where I was on...

Stayed here for four nights and had a pleasant stay. The rooms are very clean and the bed was very comfortable. Staff were pleasant as well. The location was just ok, 10-15 walk to the nearest metro station. There were 2 or 3 bars within 200 metres. Not many food options though. Good value-price ratio. Good wi fi, you just...
