This hotel it quite basic but the staff is very friendly and they give you the basics you need. Expect no frills but the hutong neighborhood it is in is great and makes up for it. There is good food, drinks and nice little streets close by. This is a great thing to have in Beijing.

very quiet place, great for sleeping, close to many bars and restaurants, staff are very nice and helpful. I showed up at 8 a.m. after long flight and my room was ready which was great. 5 minutes walk from nearest subway station

This was the second time I came Beijing half work half tour. The first time we were in Xicheng district, the room was the same price but way worse. This time we were very lucky to have a good choice. It is very clean. great staff, the location yonghe lama temple is close to everywhere, and actually this is the...

Over 12 days we stayed twice at the Nostalgia Hotel and apart from not very practical rooms (limited storage facilities and bathrooms with lack of privacy as well as hardly any shelving/hooks) we will come back here. The staff is truly great and the location is superb. Close to the Lama and Confucius Temples and masses of local eating and...

The staff is really warm and friendly and you can easily ask for directions at the front desk. There is a lot of good food nearby and it is within walking distance from two train stations. The room is small but clean, however the toilet walls are made of glass and while there is a curtain, there still isn't complete...

We stayed here for a few nights before we moved to a different part of Beijing to adopt our son from an orphanage. We have absolutely no complaints. The staff spoke English fairly well and were always helpful. In fact, when we were checking out, once they found out we were going to an orphanage they gave us tons of...

The hotel has simple charm. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the rooms are comfortable and quite. My only complaint is there needs to be more signage from the Main Street to locate the hotel. I got lost several times trying to get back at night

We were completely charmed by the incredibly helpful and friendly staff, the delightfully quirky (CLEAN!) rooms and the great location. We only stayed here for one night and wish we had longer to enjoy this place and explore the neighborhood. Located in the middle of the Beijing hutongs, you are walking distance to some great bars, restaurants and tourist attractions....

We have enjoyed our stay at the Nostalgia, slightly quirky hotel in a small hutong, with plenty to see and do, and good for transport in Beijing. My only small concern are the glass bathroom walls, even with the blind down you can see it all!! Fine for intimate couples, but has given me some anxiety when using the loo-...
