We stayed here a couple of times as part of a tour, so we didn't get to choose it. The photos are not really what it is the photo on tripadvisor is of the old university opposite the hotel. The staff are quite rude, but quite entertaining in their rude skills. It most defiantly is their hotel that they permit...

Staff amazing unhelpful and rude by normal standards. It was almost like having a guess arrive was a major annoyance. 20 mins to check in as they couldn't find out me booking. Room was horrible. Dirty and hadn't been decorated...well ages. After we change room because the non smoking room stunk of smoke we went down stairs to find a...

This hotel is in a great location for exploring being close to the back of Forbidden City, Kings Park, and Beihai Park which is beautiful, there is also a good transport network. Situated down a laneway there is a food market close by and numerous cheap restaurants I would recommend where the locals eat. The hotel is pretty basic if...

This is a old budget hotel, perfect to explore old quarters of town. Rooms are basic but clean. breakfast is very basic. Hotel located inside a l\alley , can experience local market and food just outside of the hotel. within walking distance to Jingshan Park and Forbidden City. Perfect for student or budget travelers.

Great location, right next to Forbidden City. The hotel was ok, staff ok, our room was smelling bad, like old. Breakfast not included and it is served in the roof top of the building, nice, on a budget and convenient, the region doesn't offer much choices nearby, if you think about having a good coffee.

The hotel was very well located for sightseeing the inner city, Forbidden City etc. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and breakfast was good. The wifi was very poor however, even in reception. Other than that, it was good.

Pros: - View from the terrace is amazing; - Location is good, near the Forbidden City, although it's quite a walk and to get there/Tienammen Sq you'll have to get a taxi or rickshaw and always have the name of the hotel in Chinese as it's not easy to find even for locals + google maps doesn't work there; (Aside...

In the hunt for a close hotel to the forbidden this hotel is a good basis for visitors to Beijing. The charging for reception of the keys a bit too much, but in end came in for taxi trip to airport . The rooms are very warm. Your key is used to check if you are entitled to a breakfast....

1. Good location near to hutongs, great view of forbidden city from the hotel. Also short walk to Jingshan park which is cheap and great to walk and relax. 2. Room was clean and adequate. Plenty of place to dry clothes. 3. Breakfast - not much to choose from, however did not bother me since I am not a fussy...

Location: the hotel is very close to the Forbidden city and a walk away from Dongsi station. The neighborhood, however, is very unclean. The street in front of the hotel has many food shops, but is filled with garbage and rest of food. Room: the hotel has a very old appearance. My room did not get much sun and had...
