I chose the Guidu Hotel for two reasons: there was a very good "mystery hotel" deal on Wotif (it's always pretty easy to identify the Wotif "mystery hotels" in China), for US$ 77 per night; and the location was ideal for me. I stayed for a week in December. The Guidu Hotel is near Xuanwumen, a little bit to the...

Located conveniently to Beijing's line 4 subway, you will be able to move around the city fairly easily while avoiding the street level traffic jams. I booked on Expedia by phone and encountered no reservation problems when we arrived. The breakfast was good, service was friendly throughout, and the spa was nice. Internet is available Wi-Fi or wired in the...

We spent a week in Guidu which I got for a phenomenal price on Orbitz.com. I think it was about 70-75 dollars a night. It costed us about 30 USD to get from the airport in a taxi..looking back, we could have saved money using the train system out of the airport..which is very convenient, safe, always on time, and...

We spent a week at the Guidu while sightseeing in Beijing. Rooms were comfortable. The location is great for seeing all the sights in the city center, and it's a short walk to the subway. We had the use of a friend's car and driver for the week, which I'd strongly recommend as taxis are difficult to get. Another perk...

Very comfy beds, high quality rooms. My only complaint is that some of the rooms on the higher floors were too hot (29 degrees C) and the air conditioning was turned off. If you want to cool your room down you need to open your windows, and that only cooled them down by a couple degrees. The food was amazing...

This hotel is located about 5 km to the city center and about 700 meters from the Caishikou metro station (line 4). The location is good, but the nearby street is very noisy and the windows don't help to reduce the noise. We stayed there for 4 days during a trip to Beijing. The staff is very helpful, however, during...
