Yes the beds were hard as rocks, but wow we're in China. The hotel room was a bit dated but was clean, even though the bathroom shower was little moldy.Overall the hotel was suitable for the three nights of our Sinorama Tour.
This was the first hotel stop for our Sinorama Tour. The guide did all the check-ins with the hotel. Check in took quite a while waiting for passports to be copied etc. We did get our passports back the same night, but not everyone did....More
Rooms decent size and comfortable. Would agree with others that some aspects of bathroom fittings / tiles etc were not up to par but overall good.

The wifi is good at the hotels. Email and texting go well with strong connections. Just remember they block a lot of websites. One of my friends had her phone shut down temporarily for trying to access Yahoo!

I'm sorry I have only just seen this question. We were picked up by our tour company so I have no experience to advise you of. However there were lots of buses, not tour company, waiting to transport travellers to wherever they were going. Also there is a huge transport hub at the airport, trains, taxis etc to get you around. I suggest you google what's available. The airport website would probably be if assistance also (if there is one). As for cost, I really have no idea but Beijing is not, generally, very cheap.
