Very nice traditional hotel that lacks the comfort of most modern hotels. The beds were a bit hard for my liking and the breakfast was very basic. Beautiful old architecture and is close to the Hutong's , subway and restaurants, but I wouldn't recommend a long stay.

The rooms except one room which is 3 rooms in one. The other rooms are small and basically are not cleaned. The bathroom shower kept coming out of the wall. The toilet was filthy and the smell was definitely not a fragrance you would enjoy. Very understaffed and the breakfast was adequate. Saving grace is that there was a few...

This hotel was absolutely disgusting, I have no problem staying in a traditional hotel if it was clean. This hotel smelt awful and stale, it had used toothbrushes in cupboards and on window sills. The shower mats were black and mouldy, toilets kept blocking. Walk from having a shower to the bed and back to your towel and your feet...

Traditional hotel which is great in appearance and location ,but needs a lot of tender loving care. The rooms are small in size and the bathrooms need fixing.Sink tap in bathroom was about to fall off ,and the power point at the bedside was hanging off the wall with exposed wiring.Had stayed there for three nights and still wasnt repaired.Close proximity...

Personally, I loved the place. We were in a group and I was lucky to get room A063 which was bigger and had a fridge. WiFi is patchy but worked better on the foyer where everyone else congregates. Traditional decor which it's all about. Maccas 200 meters away. I use a translator to talk to the staff. Would stay again.

My mother and i stayed at the Soluxe for 3 nights..we booked it due to the beautiful photos of hotel and wanted to stay somewhere that looked traditional. Pros: Nice, friendly, helpful staff-not much English spoken. Clean room with clean sheets, towels etc.. Good location-good distance to restaurants, bell/drum tower, hutongs etc.. Beautiful lanterns and courtyards. Clean outside area Cons:...

Solute Sunshine Courtyard Hotel is a nice, old-fashioned hotel in a very lively district near the Hutongs. The rooms are a little on the small side and can be a little noisy (as they all face out onto walkways used by other guests) but they are clean, well-stocked and attractive. Maybe better for shorter stays than long stays.

I lived around the corner from this place for years, and dismissed even checking it out because of its naff name - and its proximity to the very busy North 2nd Ringroad. When I did finally give it a look, I was amazed. It's a large, tastefully renovated traditional 'siheyuan' house (a former temple established by a Ming Dynasty official),...

Great location for the bell and drum tower and the subway. Wonderful architecture and so pretty in the courtyard. There are even two turtles and a cat hanging around to admire! The room.... Well! Holes in the walls and burn holes in the carpet, one working plug socket (the ac one half way up the wall) and a hard bed....

Situated a short walk away from the Bell and Drum towers, Lama Temple, Confucius Temple and Imperial College, Behai Lake, and the enchanting little hutongs full of shops and eateries, this hotel a perfect place to stay! If you are a little more energetic, Jingshan Park, and the Forbidden City are also within a 'long' walking distance. There is a...
