Location wise is rather close to the airport but quite far from the city central, however, the subway right in front of the hotel makes travelling easier. It is also located next to a local shopping mall where you can find western fast food restaurant and also Chinese restaurant. Seven eleven is also conveniently located next to the hotel. Check in process was really smooth and the staffs speak decent level of English. I was also given an upgrade simply because they want to fulfill my request for a king size bed (there was no more king size bedroom available when I made my booking). Room was good and comfortable, AC is cool and they have decent english channel selection. Shower in the rooms has a good pressure but just the standing position is a little awkward because they use a bathtub as a shower too and it makes you uncomfortable when you stand for a shower. Other facility that also need to be taken note is that I do not see where is the swimming pool as advertised in many hotel booking website. Breakfast in the hotel need to be improved a lot. Very poor western selection and even the chinese selection does not taste good. Chef at the live cooking section is an old lady so I cannot expect her to speak basic English right? This is also something that the hotel management need to consider. Overall this is a comfortable hotel with a decent room rate. I am definitely considering this hotel again for my next visit to Beijing.

The rooms was awful. The ac didn’t work any suddenly the temperature went up to 28 degrees. I Complain in the reception and the only thing they provided was a portable ac which didn’t cool down the room either. The only way was close down and keep the window open. Breakfast poor of choices.

Like so many hotels in Beijing that carry International Group Branding, they just don’t get it or simply don’t care that the quality of the room is only half of the story and is not the only reason someone chooses to stay at IHG hotels. It seems that the owners are only interested in saying they’re a global brand and nothing else. The Holiday Inn Express Huacai has nice, spacious and comfortable rooms but that is where it all stops. The IHG brand is supposed to stand for good customer service, smiles, quality in all areas and above all, superior customer service. It seems that today only the Marriott group of hotels has managed to achieve that lofty goal around the world. Customer Service does not exist at the Holiday Inn Express Huacai. Everyone has a sour look on their face, they never smile, seem to look at foreigners as bothersome and they do not know their product. When I requested an IHG membership brochure they had no clue what I was talking about. I had to search their front desk counter and show them the membership brochures. However, I did manage to find a bright lite and smiling face in all of this and that was Charlie, the F&B manager. I had a small issue one day and Charlie did everything in his power to make a customer, me, happy. My commendation to Charlie and please let him know how pleased I was to meet him. Use him as an example for the rest of your employees. My suggestions, 1. Always strive to have at least one staff member on duty at the front desk that speaks good english. During my stay no one really spoke English except for Charlie the F&B manager. Again, Charlie seems to understand the IHG brand concept. 2. Train all employees to smile. 3. Train all staff on how to solve issues. 4. Have a staff member who is assigned to perform quality control and make sure all employees follow the IHG brand standard. 5. If you cannot do 1 through 4 above, then I suggest that IHG corporate take away the IHG brand name from your hotel. Hotels which behave like yours damage the brand. Regards, A very disappointed customer

Definitely I recommend it. It is right above the metro subway station. It is in the mall with shopping center and grocery store. Room is clean and breakfast is awesome with both Chinese and western food choices. It is the best in the Wang Jing area.

Location is good enough. Room is big enough. Price is very reasonable. Breakfast is ok. Entrance’s Subway is convenient. Service is quick & polite enough. Looking into its 3 star positioning, it is good. Only thing not fit is its shower water pressure isn’t strong enough. 地點不錯,房間夠大,價錢合理,早餐還可以,入口的賽百味餐廳很方便,服務夠快,態度也還不錯,以三星定位來說,相當不錯,唯一小缺點是淋浴水壓不夠強。

We choosed this hotel because it is just 25 min from the airport away. Beijing is pretty buisy and crowed and in the matter that we just wanted to visit the forbidden town and the great wall, it was a very good decision. To get the bests out of These 2 1/2 days in Beijing we hired a agency "China Hightlights" and the drive and guide picked us up at the port of Tanjing after a cruise. The Hotel itself is located at a very buisy street Corner and if you have the window open it get`s pretty loud. In April the air condition is not working. The Chinese Hotels still heat in that period of the year. So our room was very very warm. We sleept with open window. The Breaksfast is a mix between Asia and American Style. The Asian food is good but the American food is so la la.... The complete Hotel itself is a bit dirty every where....

I was here for business trip, for 9 days. I didn't found the Swimmingpool or the fitness center. Breakfast is okay, less continental more Chinese but you're in China so it's good. The day before my departure is the day why my rating is not 4stars. I went down and wanted to get my boarding pass printed. They send me to the 4th floor (also the breakfast room and maybe restaurant). I didn't need more than a minute to find the computer with printer. But it was locked so I waited for someone to unlock, after maybe 2 minutes there was a waitress who unlocked the computer and i could start printing not so easy because everything was on Chinese but open Adobe and printing is same like everywhere. After i printed my passes(2 sites) someone like a manager appeared and told me in English worst than mine that it's not for free. Okay i want to pay for. So than he showed me a sheet of paper left to the pc on 2m height the prices for printing. 1 black&white 5rmb and 1 color 15rmb. I would have tried to print in black and white if i could read Chinese or even much easier if the pc runs in English language! So i had to pay 30rmb for two sites, maybe in a 5 star hotel in Germany i would have to pay that much. So that's all to say.

If you don't demand much, it's a good option. For business related it's a average one though. Here are the main pros and cons I've encountered and recommendations at the bottom (from a foreigner perspective and needs). Pros: - A shopping center in the same area , which some good dining options. - Good location if you need to work around WangJing business district. Also there's a metro station in front of it which facilitates touristic purposes - Breakfast options and facility is rather good Cons: - Few English speaking staff, which is expected in China for less for an international hotel chain. - Poor Wi-Fi. If you depend on it for whichever reasons (work or personal) don't expect much and rely on it - Room that I've been initially offered had a bad smoking smell. Luckily there was another one available for me. - No frigobar Recomendations: - For late night dinner/drink option the only one available is a Korean barbecue style one. Just cross the street and look for a Mcdonalds. The place is in the same building, in the 3rd of 4th floor. It's a good one. - Many restaurants in the attached shopping center have english menu.
