It was our family's first stop in China. Can't imagine better start to our holiday. Fairly basic but clean, beautifully set with good service and taste of old traditional Chinese architecture, this hotel has set our adventure in a great way. Children have enjoyed the spacious room as well as the few courtyards where they could play and run around....

This is a really lovely little hotel. Tucked away down Qiangulouyuan Hutong in the heart of old Beijing, Courtyard 7 is a welcoming and relaxing place to stay. The rooms are not large, but are well appointed with antique furniture, comfortable beds and very good shower rooms. They are all in one story buildings arranged in charming traditional style around...

Courtyard (hutong) lodgings are the best way to experience Beijing. It puts you in vibrant neighborhoods, close enough to the main sights to walk. Courtyard 7 is lovely, reasonably comfortable and well-maintained. It is off the main road and generally inaccessible by car, so do print out the name and location in Chinese for the taxi driver and also for...

Sure, you can stay at a large corporate chain or at a good, mid price, western style hotel in the center of the city, but why? If you have traveled all the way to Beijing for your ultimate China vacation, treat yourself to a bit of old-style Chinese authenticity. You should stay at Courtyard-7 and experience life in a hutong....

This was the second time I have stayed at Courtyard 7, and I will gladly return on my next visit to Beijing. The location is fantastic -- right in the heart of a Beijing hutong neighborhood near the Drum and Bell Towers and all the fun of Nanluogoxiang and the Houhai Lakes. The staff is among the most kind I...

We loved this little hotel and did not want to leave. The refurbishment has maintained an original feel with wonderful touches like heated floors, a beautiful bathroom, and a very comfortable 4 poster bed. The hotel was very quiet but in the centre of the hutongs and close to shopping, restaurants and transport. Staff were helpful particularly on arrival in...

We had a quick 2 day stopover in Beijing coming from Vietnam continuing on in China and this was a wonderful little oasis to spend our time! The hotel itself is charming and intimate- and the staff were very helpful and accommodating. We had heard the rooms were quite small however, we were upgraded to the deluxe family room (I...

Surprisingly quiet hotel in centre of the city. Rooms small but have all facilities. Beds tradional 4 poster. Food in hotel, especially evening meals excellent and reasonably priced. Hotel rooms all on single story courtyard linked, in traditional style. Wi fi works ok, if not mega fast. Staff very friendly, with nothing too much trouble. Trendy street, particularly in evenings,...

A small lovely hostel situated near a subway station which makes it easier to come and go to different tourist spots in Beijing. It is also in the hutong area where shops and restaurants are everywhere. Courtyard 7 has its own restaurant which is open from morning to evening and serves buffet breakfast with decent food choices, Western and Asian...
