Arrived at Beijing International Airport terminal 3 on 8/11. All passengers were taken to a special area in the terminal for COVID-19 screening and then taken on special buses to the quarantine hotel, which was assigned by authorities. Once arrived, staff in hazmat suits were waiting. There were more forms to be filled and all luggage was sprayed with disinfectant. We then entered a lobby-like room with makeshift check-in counters where we were asked to choose room type and payment methods. After the room was assigned, I was accompanied by the staff to my room on the 4th floor. I chose a suite hoping for a better view. The room was clean but pretty tired-looking, and the view was disappointing. I called asking for a room change and was told to wait. I waited and no one called. Since the hotel is Crowne Plaza, I called the front desk and asked to speak to IHG Rewards Club. I was told to wait for a call again. But this time the call came very quickly from Jasmine Zhou, the Guest Experience Manager. She listened, promised a new room and an hour later, a room was ready on the 10th floor and it's a lot better in every aspect. Things went well after that. Food was decent and a new menu was provided after a week. Jasmine was very helpful during my entire stay. On the 14th day, accompanied by staff, I paid the bill, got the certificates for completing the quarantine and negative COVID-19 test result, and free to leave. …
We stayed at this Crowne Plaza for one night whilst on a stopover in Beijing. Having arrived rather late, we entered a large, and very dimly-lit lobby which lent a very deserted feel to the hotel. Perhaps not entirely surprising, given all the extensive travel restrictions in place. A generous 4 PM checkout was offered for the following day, presumably due to low occupancy rates. The rooms were clean and comfortable, but dated and in need of refurbishment, and on the small side for China. You could tell that this hotel was main geared towards business travellers and conventions pre Covid-19.Which means this large hotel was largely empty during our stay, with the possible exception that the other half might be used as a Covid-19 quarantine hotel, perhaps for incoming international travellers. We couldn’t be absolutely sure, but we saw quite a few personnel in hazmat suits around the hotel. The pool and gym were closed during our stay – no information about the closure was conveyed to us during booking or check-in, or posted in the room. Breakfast options were limited, but the breakfast dining area was not crowded. Given its low-ish price point, this hotel is worth a shot if you are an elite IHG member (we weren’t, but I’d imagine there would be better perks included in your stay) – otherwise I’d suggest the ibis Styles just up the road. It’s closer to the airport, and cheaper.…
The hotel is like a grand mansion. Everything is perfect: location, people, and food. Location-wise, it is close to the airport, business street, and highway ----VERY convenient!!! Hotel staff are also NICE, especially Wendy at front desk , who was unbelievably helpful. She updated our room to a suite, provided free breakfast, and also guided us to our room. We only got breakfast but the taste brings us home. We feel like a king living in this place. Anyway, I will definitely come back to this hotel again!
The Japanes restaurant is our favorite spot when working on Capital airport. Great service. Amazing food. Lobby bar can be better. Even with enough staff you still have to go to the bar to order. Food in lobby bar good. Nice place to work in Sunday’s.
This hotel was a wonderful find in Beijing. It has a sense of luxury whilst still feeling welcoming and homely. There is a free hotel shuttle from Beijing (PEK) International to the hotel which is only 6kms away. Once you arrive at the airport, you will need to call the hotel to organise a pickup. The hotel staff speak English and are very helpful to ensure that you are taken care of. The shuttle from the hotel to PEK Beijing International leaves every 30mins which is so convenient. The shuttle bus is large enough to accommodate passengers and their luggage. Once you arrive at the hotel the twin towers and gorgeous lobby totally blow you away. During your check-in rate process, you can choose a rate with or without a buffet-style breakfast. We chose to include breakfast which was absolutely fabulous. The choice was so vast that I am sure anyone's needs will be met. From cereals to cooked options to sushi to pastries to fruit to Chinese options. The breakfast is served in the Crowne Cafe but one is also able to get lunch and dinner in this same location. There are also other restaurants available in the hotel, should you be looking for something different. The hotel is clean, very organised and so beautiful. Our room was spacious and so comfortable. The room comes equipped with hairdryer, small fridge with pay-as-you-use mini bar, kettle for your tea/coffee, iron and board, safe, slippers and robes. The TV offers various English channels as well as free wifi. The bathroom comes with bath and separate shower which is a welcome change. There are plenty of towels and toiletries available to look after your needs. The room has extra blankets and pillows should you require these. I just loved the king-sized bed which was a perfect blend between the comfortable mattress and high-quality linen. The bed felt like a welcoming hug each time I lay or sat on it. I so wished I could just stay and relax there all day. There is plenty on-site parking. The hotel offers a fitness centre if you are needing to exercise during your stay. Our room was very quiet with great blackout curtains for a peaceful stay. I would definitely recommend this hotel.…
