For the price of a private room at 400 yuan a night, you can do waaaaayyy better. Watch out for mozzies in the room. Also found a baby roach crawling on the blanket one evening. But if all you are after is the backpackers vibe, then this place is perfect.

Checked out within 40 minutes (Thats how long it took to find a new hotel) after checking in. Went to my room and wanted to use the bathroom, but the toilet seat was covered with pee from previous guests. My mom stayed in a twin room and there was snot in one of the "clean" towels. Beddings weren't changed in...

Booked to stay here and checked in. Tried to pay by card (as advertised) but was rudely told cash only. Got into room, it looked clean enough but the bathroom was a little dirty. Free WiFi doesn't extend to the rooms and can only be used in the small dingy communal area. Went out for a bit and the staff...

This was my second time staying at Sanlitun. The hostel was nice, but there were several long term guests in my room who really made themselves at home, clutter and all. The bathrooms were decent. Toilets didnt like to flush and toilet paper is provided outside the stalls. The restaurant, which is the nicest place of the hostel, is only...

I find this hostel a good value for money. Location is great. Breakfast and the bar area are good. Double rooms are also pretty okay. Not super clean, but it is not a bad place if you stay on a budget. The thing I did not like is that they do not have elevator and don't offer any help with...

To be fair , I don't think that you will find anything cheaper with the same type of " quality " but the front desk girls can use a little less attitude .. I walked miles in this cold weather, they gave me so much attitude and can mumble to me where to find an ATM . And stairs .....

Beijing hasnt the highest living standard so it was ok. Very nice employees, good english for Beijing and helpful, but the room was awful, the bathroom was full of mold, also a bit in the corner of the beds, the beds itself were hard as stones.

- I found it quite hard to find and the staff were quite unhelpful when I called them for directions. - Reception staff were really rude, it's like they hated you for staying with them. Bar staff were nice enough. - Room was awful, I know this is a hostel so I wasn't expecting the Ritz but my room was...

Generally in a decent part of Beijing near the Sanlitun Bar Street and some excellent restaurants and eateries are also a short walk away. Our room was a private room and was generally average. The room was a bit dusty and the ensuite bathroom was mouldy and the shower generally lacked sufficient water pressure and / or hot water at...

This was the most disgusting hostel I have ever stayed in. To start, there was blood on the disgusting yellow pillow. The beds were moth eaten and the sheets were filthy. Worse of all, me, my dad and husband were trying to have a quiet drink in their bar and we were attacked by one of their drunken customers. The...
