My girlfriend and I had a memorable stay in Beijing Intercontinental for our anniversary celebration! The FO staff was nice and sweet who arranged a welcome drinks on top bar and breakfasts for us. We truely appreciate all the arrangement she made. Our room was arranged on the executive floor. When we entered the room , we were surprised by the heart melted set up and decorations which made the romantic atmosphere fully filled in that spacious and elegant room. We didn’t even want to leave the room for a second during the stay. We found one thing very special was that the carpet in the elevator changed daily in a week as we noticed that the wording changed from “Thursday” on the first day to “Friday” on the second day. This absolutely showed the concern of hygiene level for the guest from the hotel which made us had faith in staying in this hotel during pandemic period. Besides, the drinks and snacks quality were high in Top Bar and the environment was really nice for a couple to enjoy a drink with a beautiful view by the table. The breakfast was in a buffet style with various selections of food in high quality and good taste which we would highly recommend especially for the dim sum and pastry. The overall experience was excellent in both service and facilities. Many thanks to the excellent FO team. We will definitely stay here again when we plan to travel Beijing again, see ya!…
Went to Beijing for a medical check-up for 4 nights. As a status member, was upgraded, at arrival, to a suite. Wonderful and modern room with a great view of the mall across the street. The shower was huge. The area is really busy with a ton of foot traffic and watching the constant streams of people was enjoyable. Check-in was very smooth, quick check of the health code app, a pretty painless check in. Breakfast was tasty and a great variety of local and Western choices. The designers put in a lot of effort to make the hotel stand out, and it sure did, as each area of the hotel had its own unique style. The lounge was big and airy, very pleasant. Occupancy is down these days because of COVID, so there was not a buffet style set up in the lounge, but instead it was a la carte ordering. Great drinks and great food choices. Have stayed in 6 different five-star hotels in Beijing, the Intercontinental is by far my favorite so far. Staff was so friendly and nice, I'll be back again.…
I got the Sanlitun suite and found the hotel and status simply overwhelming!Super service friendly staff, what else do you want?I love coming here! The welcome fruit peach and Macarons were delicious. Excellent service.
Amazing hotel with fantastic staffs, all very friendly and thoughtful, especially the Front desk and Club. The room is big and clean and has a very good view of the skyline. Recommend for all travelers
In July, we enjoyed a short staycation at InterContinental Sanlitun, this famous landmark building in Beijing. The reservation process was smooth and I was very warmly welcomed to the hotel. Despite COVID measures, the check-in process was also relatively smooth (for me - please see below). We wanted to spoil ourselves and had tried to book a Club InterContinental room. The lounge was however closed - as a compensation, we were upgraded to one of their suites, with a great view of Sanlitun. The room was really awesome - and the bath-room even better. We also enjoyed welcome drinks and the atmosphere in the bar on the third floor - and the short distance to everything we wanted to do in the neighbourhood. The hotel is really perfectly located, and can absolutely be recommended. Room for improvement? Yes, the service was not as smooth and shiny as the exterior of the building. My staycation companion arrived a little later than me with a lot of luggage, and received very little (zero) help upon arrival. This is quite surprising from a 5-star hotel. So his first impression of the hotel was not that great. The suite helped on the mood, though. And breakfast service was also not as smooth as we could have hoped for. Their normally excellent buffet was suspended for COVID reasons, and communication with staff was not easy (for some reason, there was no English-speaking staff around in the breakfast room). And when we finally had managed to order, they forgot all about our food and most of our drinks as well. We fully understand challenges linked to COVID and food in hotels, and that there could not be a buffet - but InterContinental Qingdao, where we stayed the month before, had organized this much better. I will however be fair and give points to the staff for recognizing that they were not delivering up to standard and providing us with some bubbles on the house as a compensation. But for my friend’s last morning in Beijing this experience was a bit disappointing. In total, my previous stay at InterCon Sanlitun was better (much thanks to Club InterContinental) - but I am still giving it a full score (mostly because of the great room this time), and hoping to soon return to their full and great service. …
