The room was not very clean. The windows were black with dirt but someone had had a go at cleaning up to about a foot from the bottom which gave a stark contrast between the top and the bottom. Two bedside tables but only one lamp. Nothing provided in the bathroom apart from toilet paper. The beds were clean, but the headboard had been removed from a single bed and put on our double which left gaps on each side. The food was up to standard but we could not get a cup of coffee after the meal, so we migrated to the bar only to find that they did not serve any coffee. The wi - fi was none existent any were in the building.

Lets be charitable, everywhere is struggling to get over covid. But this is well below anything excusable. Bar on sixth floor restaurant on first? Roof top it isn't. We waited for an hour while they rummaged up a very poor quality and overpriced meal. In fact I think they gave a few shillings to a tuk tuk driver and told him to go round town and pick up food from street stalls, but that's doing street food a disservice.

The rooftop pool is not like on the photo. No access, no armchairs, very unfriendly and unhelpful gym/pool attendant. Dark and shabby place just good enough for the night but if you have to spend some time you have to go outside and find a nice place elsewhere. Not worth the price at all.

Mombasa's weather was around 39C this month (march 2020) and no aircon in the lobby, not even a fan too, elevators are terrible and you can never be able to press the floor you want to go, I had to get down at floor 2 to go for breakfast at floor 1. could not stop an elevator at floor 3 when I wanted to go to Ground floor. luckily someone going up got down at 3 so I could board the elevator went upto floor 6 and again came down to ground floor. That's not all. Terrible aircons fitted to the rooms, one whole night I had to sleep naked sweating because the aircon was not working well and also not facing the bed. aircon was on the right side and the bed was on the extreme left. Next day I almost fell sick due to lack of sleep but managed to change my room from floor 2 to floor 3. Breakfast is just so so and I realized my mistake of choosing this hotel. There is an Indian veg restaurant nearby but they close early around 8 pm. there is also another restaurant for meat eaters and they also serve lot of snacks and ice creams. Overall, will never even look at the direction of this hotel next time in Mombasa. SABENA (such a bloody experience Never again). Forgot to include the terrible WIFI, it goes on and off, on-off, on-off, the worst wifi connection I have ever experienced in my Life time

We had a business meeting/seminar at Royal Court and I was impressed, the service was good, the lunch was awesome I enJoyed the dessert at lunch and was allowed to go for more ice cream which I completely loved, the food was well cooked. I recommend the hotel to anyone who is in town and needs a good meal. For tea I would suggest they work on the accompanying snacks and give something filling I wasn't very content with what was offered.

The hotel is within the CBD and would make a good place to stay if conducting business in the CBD of Mombasa. The rooms are average, nothing fancy. The hotel is good although a little facelift will make it even better. We were on B&B basis, the breakfast buffet was great, nothing too fancy. Otherwise, I liked my stay there.

The hotel is central in the city, close to Uhuru park. Thuis park is kept by by MPA, the port administration and the trees are full of bats, resting at daytime. Shops nearby sell mainly car parts. Gravel to airport van take some time in you have no access to port bypass.

Royal court hotel is not a place that anyone should consider spending their time.First of all, as I walked in, the smell of cigarette coming from the casino filled the reception area you can imagine how uncomfortable it was for me considering I had a 4 month old infant. Then we were ushered to the room which are a bit old school and my loo was not flashing. The next day when checking out I forgot my phone in my room only to call back the hotel and say that they did not see it.I mean how many other guests have lost valuable stuff there.I had such a terrible experience and worst of all lost my phone in your premises.

We stayed in this hotel after our Tsavo East Safari and before flying to Kigali via Nairobi. Great location. Staff were super helpful and helped us arrange a city tour, driver, etc. Shower was terrific and room was spotless.

I travelled with my family for a 10 day vacation in mombasa and we stayed at the royal court hotel, the rooms are spacious and the Air conditioning is best since mombasa is hot but what moved me was the 5-star service at the rooftop restaurant by the most caring waiter called KELVIN look out for him his service is the best and when it comes to housekeeping look out for HAPPY very accommodating. I will definitely come again
