It is not really that children friendly Staff is generally very friendly and helpfull, and some went above and beyond. 3500 KES/night for an extra mattress to make it better and more suitable for our apartment with one couple with two kids, a nanny and an uncle. That is 35000 in 10 days. We could just as well buy ourselves a new mattress. Pool is excellent. The children pool does not have a more shallower zone, making it easier for the 2.5 year old to walk a little for himself in/out of the pool easily (with guardians ofcourse) TV quality/picture is pretty bad. But had HDMI and thus good for our Chromcast. There is not really any good kitchen knife. Otherwise kitchen is well equipped with a good fridge/freezer and toaster. Cleaning of rooms are nicely done. Breakfast is good, and the limited items found we assume is due to the Covid19 situation and few people in the hotel. One of the reasons for staying in the hotel was that they had a gym. Well, they did not and the internet informarion should be updated! This means You will have to go outside the premecises and pay extra for the gym! 😡 In general it seems that a little maintenance on the buildings are needed, but as always around tropical areas "keeping it white" is difficult with high humidity. Internet is good when working but breaking up to often. Not optimal for people with disabilities, due to many stairs, and height level differences. And no ramp, so wheel chairs are a no no! We also found out that all towels are hand washed insis the hotel. That seems a little "wrong" despite maybe labour cost being lower than electrical consumption using a washing machine. Asking for a "dash" of margerine/butter and a little bit of black pepper in the hotel bar was turned down since we had an apartment with cooking possibilities..we should cater for ourselves. It is not like we are cooking every meal and asked of too much. I offered of course to pay for it but still "not possible" when it was to be used in the apartment. Well, our principle are then easy with such low service standards, you lost 30000-50000 KES in revenue in your restaurant since the next meals were either eaten or ordere from outside the hotel. …
The place is so luxury and more fun with your family... nice customer service. Revisit the place and have a marvelous days....Good vibes at all time ! Travelling for holidays it's so fantastic....am interested to back and have lots of fun!!!!
totally overpriced. rooms are ok but you get equally good for half the prize along the coast in many places. breakfast is really poor, instant coffee, cheap supermarket bread and some cheap pastries, nothing to put on the bread, pool has muddy green water, looks like the filter doesnt work. The manager greets you on the phone with "why did you call me " !
Cleanliness The rooms are very dump, And seem like they’ve not been used in ages, The level of cleanliness is also deplorable as the bathroom I used had stains and the toilet was leaking. Food. 99% of their food is Indian and spicy, With very few variety. Breakfast you have to force yourself to eat the little that’s available. WiFi The WiFi quality was exemplary very good . Their check out time is strict, after 10am you’re charged 50% the following day. Generally, the hotel is poorly managed and needs revamp, everything is old, rusty, dump or not working Kudos to the 2 overworked supervisors and friendly employees.
The hotel is dirty and had no life guards. Terrible service from the staff members. Dirty towels and rooms in general. Our rooms were not ready by 4pm. Would not recommend this hotel for any family visit.
The hotel is cool with very social and welcome staff, they are able to serve a large group of people with high quality food and drinks. I liked their rooms which are well organized and cottages which have a sitting room, dinning room and an open kitchen downstairs and the bedrooms upstairs. They have a swimming pool and the beach is secure. I was there for 3 nights and enjoyed my stay. It's very Ideal for families and businesses as well. I recommend it to my friends and relatives.
This visit made us regret booking a trip over the internet. It was not near quite what booking dot com had promised. The first inkling of trouble was the potholed road extending past the gates and onto the receiving area. The apartment we were shown into had a stale smell and was outfitted with thread bare furnishings. The general look was spartan. There was mention of a nearby sewer that needed repair. A kind lady moved us to a super deluxe room just next to the beach and this made our stay tolerable. One can see the resort had better days and could do with a revamp. The pool was clean and the staff exemplary though clearly overworked. Food was good but choices limited. There wasn't much to suggest that hygiene was a rigorously upheld. One hopes that improvements will be forthcoming in the near future. Indeed, some blocks I peered inside appeared newly refurbished. …
Without biting around the bush, let us just say that it is astonishing that this place is allowed to be in business. Here are some MAJOR issues: 1) health & safety. You will see from the pictures that the place is full of rust! From the trampolin to other metal structures, there are hazards everywhere. Not to mention dumpness stains on the walls and a generall shabbiness that becomes apparent the moment you enter into the property. 2) food. The breakfast is non-existent. One might as well go into a serviced apartment. Here you get into a decrepit room, haunted by storms of flies, smelly, and with stained walls, where the choice is miserable and the quality of the food even worse. On my last day, I didn't even bother going for breakfast. 3) rude staff. Most of the local staff are nice people. But there were episodes of gratuitous rudeness, which clearly flows from the attitude of the owners/managers. I asked to speak with them before checking out, but they repeatedly avoided me. 4) One evening the power went off. I had some friends in nearby properties and none of the hotels they were staying in experienced the same problem. So basically this place doesn't even have a generator in case the main supply fails. Whatever the cause of the power cut, this was not happening in nearby properties. Simply speaking, this place must be avoided like plague. And the Kenyan Tourist Board should probably look into revoking the licence here.…
The food was delayed by 1.5 hours. Reminded the waiter three times politely that we have children who are hungry. After that, Half the food order arrived. Thereafter, had to get the manager and chefs involved and wait outside the kitchen to hurry the staff to complete my order. Manager proceeded to tell me that the order was given 30 minutes ago. I cancelled the balance order and we paid and left. Rude waiters, rude manager. The only person that had a little bit of sympathy and apologised was the receptionist. Pathetic treatment. Will never visit again.
Checked in to this nightmare on the last night of an amazing two week break in Kenya. Upon arrival, we were not greeted with a drink and hot towel, which seems to be custom everywhere else we stayed (5 other hotels). But, this is in no way an issue, just odd as other guests were given this treatment in front of us. It took us an hour to get our rooms, which was fine as it was approaching the end of lunch and we were all starving. Finally we got our keys and proceeded to our rooms. As soon as the door opened, we were greeted with a intoxicating stench which almost made me gag. This was the case with the other rooms too. The room was dirty with stains on the walls and bugs on the floor, then I went into the bathroom which had puddles of brown smelly water in the bath and stains all over the shower (see the pictures below). I went straight down to the reception and explained the issues. They seemed like this was acceptable and we were offered the option of our rooms being cleaned, which gave me the impression they were not cleaned prior to us arriving. After what seemed an age of complaining, we were passed on to guest relations, who didn’t have any urgency, given the fact this was our last day and we had plans to go out, which they were fully aware of. An hour later we were shown to new rooms, which didn’t smell and seemed like they had actually been cleaned!! However, there was a bug’s nest in the bathroom and a million mosquitos, the only place in Kenya I’ve actually come across them. To top it off, the food here is way below average, with it apparently being okay to serve fruit that had turned and also seemed to be the home to fruit fly’s. I woke up after a nights sleep with 10’s of mosquito bites, after being provided with a mosquito nets with massive holes in it. Breakfast was way below par, with it being perfectly fine for there to be fly’s all over the fruit and chopped veg on the egg stand. I was so hungry but don’t want to risk food poisoning so even though I booked on a half board basis, I did not eat one meal. Stay here at your own risk! We ended our great holiday with the worst downer possible by staying here. Don’t repeat our mistake!! Hope this helps.…
