Had a pleasant welcome, rooms were decent but Was extremely disappointed as I had an early check out and no water in the showers at 1 am , telephones not working to report and after reporting had to follow up for the water issue by walking to the reception twice only to get ridiculed. Had cockroaches in the room and I was terribly dissatisfied with the way my issue was handles. I thought the service had improved with their new management but appears not to be the case. Never again .

I booked this resort for a family holiday. Our experience was simply fantastic. We got interconnecting rooms which was great. The rooms are nice, appear to have recently been refurbished, new air conditioners, and very clean, so what I read in previous reviews about the rooms is no longer the case. The beds are quite comfortable. The resort is generally spacious with well maintained lawns. The beach is there all for your enjoyment. The guest relations lady, Lilian, is a real professional not forgetting the other staff who were equally good. Each of them that we interacted with went out of their way to ensure were taken care of. I won’t even mention what we paid for full board. Have stayed in some top resorts in the same area and honestly I can’t quite see a big difference, only cost. Areas that we thought need improvement are the Wi-Fi network (quite erratic and slow), food variety (the available ones were yummy/well done though), quality of TV pictures in the rooms and ensuring functional mini-fridges. All in all, it was a comfortable and restful stay. Will definitely be back there pretty soon.…

Everything was slow and wrong in this place. We where waiting food for 3 hours !!! Every drinks made 25 minutes to come. Checkin and out horrible. And and and. Only things positiv : food was good ! And location was not so clean. Pool was little dirty. Music was way to lound

A week ago, I had an opportunity to take advantage of the pay 2 nights get one free at the hotel. This was a chance for my family (wife and child) to have a vacation as I had gone for a work conference in Mombasa County. The welcome at the hotel was very poor, the room we were given was not the best, the bed was uncomfortable and the loo would not flush properly. During meals, there were too many spicy options which was not the best especially for persons travelling with minors and toddlers. Also considering that it was a full board package the hotel did not give water during meals with the mention that that was reserved for those who had booked with travel agents such as bonfire. Housekeeping also did not do the best job at cleaning the room and therefore we also had to keep picking up trash after they were done with the room. Staff in the hotel were also not very friendly and seemed more preoccupied with serving foreign nationals as compared to their fellow Kenyans. The hotel also does refills for shower gels in old bottles that seems to have been used multiples times in the past. There was no mosquito net in the room which necessitated purchase of insecticide to deal with the mosquito issues that normally exist in Mombasa. Much as I had received a positive review from colleagues who had been there no more than 2 weeks before me this was absolutely disappointing.…

My friend and I had a perfect 3days stay.The staff are very welcoming and ensured we were at all time comfortable. Oh the rooms are kept well and ever clean. The compound, well kept what a breath taking view. The beach had it's place a well. We are really greatful and humbled by service. I would recommend and come again.

The hotel had a warm welcoming from the staffs. The rooms are perfect, neat and clean. I was able to interact with the staff,Lilian,Scovia,Charles,Emelda very charming and displined. I will choose Sun Africa Beach Hotel and spa again. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
