I ventured to Tipilikwani with a good friend for two nights. Our room had two queen beds, and was more than spacious for the both of us to share. The staff is extremely warm and attentive to ensuring you enjoy every moment of your stay with them. The food was very good, and we loved the hot water bottles in...

Great service from moment we arrived. The tents were fantastic and of high quality. Food menu choice was very good but with some allergies the chef actually prepared personalised special dishes for us. The stay was comfortable and the location was superb. Imagine elephants and giraffes walking happily past at breakfast with hot air balloons flying in the background. Coming...

We loved the tented rooms, very comfortable and clean. We were the furthest from the main facilities, and there was always someone to escort us after dark. A nice intimate feel to the place, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The food also great. Unfortunately we were only there one night.

We stayed 3 nights there. My kids were skeptical when I told them we were staying in tents but were impressed by the facilities. Hot water, big bathrooms. Food was good, not lot of veg choices throughout Kenya but the chef will make you food if you ask day before. The only drawback I found was the ride to Mara...

I almost gave tipilikwani a 3 instead of a 4. 5 of us stayed in 2 tents for 2 nights. So the positives. It's a stunning property. The tents are beautifully appointed. The facility itself is gorgeous. We had just come from camp mbweha so we're expecting similar standards. All the little details...like the hot water bottles...the amenities in the...

Our 2 nights at this Camp were exceedingly comfortable, especially after full-day game drives! The tents are extremely plush with excellent amenities. The bedrooms and bathrooms are beautiful. The tents are a bit of a walk from the reception/dining area, and in the evenings you are given a special escort to walk you back to your tent, since their Camp...

While this perfectly positioned, reasonably small lodge ticks many boxes, it is jolly difficult to find! Best approached on the road from Narok to the Talek Gate, not Sekenani Gate even if the Talek road is bumpier and longer. Quite close to the Talek Gate into the park - if like us you are self-drive, take an Askari with you...

Loved my time at this very special camp. My accommodations, meals, the friendly staff made my trip to Maasai Mara so very special, such an amazing peaceful location, and the amazing wildlife, I also enjoyed an excellent massage too! Hospitality beyond my expectations, I cannot recommend this camp enough.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
This uniquely situated luxury camp on the banks of the Talek River overlooks the mottled plains of the Maasai Mara, where vast herds of wildlife co-exist with the colourful Maasai people. Between June and October the Maasai Mara plays host to one of the most spectacular wildlife shows on earth the great annual migration of over a million wildebeest and zebra as they enter the Mara ecosystem from Serengeti in neighbouring Tanzania. Tipilikwani's tents enjoy river frontage and are decorated with warm, rich Maasai colours. The family tents have a stand alone bath tub in addition to showers. Excellent food, personalised service and traditional Kenyan hospitality further compliment the prime location. Game drives offer the unforgettable opportunity to enjoy the diversity of animals and birds living permanently in the Masai Mara, as well as many migratory species. Guests can also learn more about the Masai people, proud pastoralists and warriors, many of whom still retain their traditional nomadic lifestyle. ... more   less
