Tipilikwani is a beautiful lodge very tastefully decorated from the entrance to the dinning, the tents and the entire lodge. Food was excellent. Staff every so obliging and the game in the area outstanding. Quality of wines exceptional. Food presentation excellent. Would recommend this lodge to anyone who wants to visit the Mara.

What a trip to mara great friends and great safaris. Tipilikwani mara camp is a place where a family can really enjoy a luxury holiday especially if they book the tents made for families...they even have bath tubs...imagine soaked in a warm bubbly bath in the wilderness... And lunch at the mara river was divine on our way to Mara...

What a lovely 4 night break. The view from the lodge is lovely, with hammocks and a fire a night to sit around. The tents are really welcoming and well kept. The team of Samuel, Moses and Godfrey make the meals really enjoyable with brilliant food produced. The pool is great to relax by after a day exploring the Masai....

We had a family holiday - 2 adults and 2 kids aged 7 & 9. We did a self drive in our 4x4. We were greeted at the camp by the General manager - David. He was a really warm and helpful person... really tried to make sure that our stay was 5 star. All the staff were really great....

This is a stunning camp about a 20 minute drive from Talek Gate into the reserve. However the drive across the Mara is a long and very bumpy one, it took us approx. 2 and a half hours so the drink and towels offered on our arrival were very much appreciated. The tents are very large and beautifully furnished throughout...

It is difficult to know where to start to describe the unforgettable experience of this safari. From the meeting with our driver/guide Jonathan, to the lovely warm welcome at the camp and the courtesy and helpfulness of staff it was quite remarkable. As a keen photographer himself Jonathan immediately recognised a fellow fanatic and our safari had begun. Our journey...

Well it was, other than the elephant making a noise late one night. However this cannot be the fault of the camp, but it can be a bonus, because the guides were more than willing to let my wife and I, dressing gown dressed, follow them just so we could see the elephants playing in the river outside our tent....

I thought the two hour drive into the Mara was bad until i saw the driveway into the camp we stayed at. Craters bigger than our vehicle, even at a crawl it is bone jarring. Tent was nice and very comfy, ours had a view of the river and the moneys that live on the other side. Food in the...

Thank you for your review of our camp. As a policy we take all guest comments very seriously and the concerns that you have raised here are no exception. On the matter of the roads, we face a challenge as the main road to the Maasai Mara is managed by the national government. All other roads in the county and...

I stayed in this camp for 2 nights with my family. My daughter is 8 years old and my son is only 2 years. Official Description (provided by the hotel)
This uniquely situated luxury camp on the banks of the Talek River overlooks the mottled plains of the Maasai Mara, where vast herds of wildlife co-exist with the colourful Maasai people. Between June and October the Maasai Mara plays host to one of the most spectacular wildlife shows on earth the great annual migration of over a million wildebeest and zebra as they enter the Mara ecosystem from Serengeti in neighbouring Tanzania. Tipilikwani's tents enjoy river frontage and are decorated with warm, rich Maasai colours. The family tents have a stand alone bath tub in addition to showers. Excellent food, personalised service and traditional Kenyan hospitality further compliment the prime location. Game drives offer the unforgettable opportunity to enjoy the diversity of animals and birds living permanently in the Masai Mara, as well as many migratory species. Guests can also learn more about the Masai people, proud pastoralists and warriors, many of whom still retain their traditional nomadic lifestyle. ... more   less
