We had an amazing few days at bateleur camp. I really don't think there is a better cam in the Masai Mara. We had our three kids, 8 14 and 16. Our hosts were very accomodating. Worth every penny!! Will definitely look at booking through and beyond again😊

I'm not sure that we were staying at the same place as Lila24T, but we had excellent and personalized service and the food (we had no buffet meals, was she perhaps staying at the sister camp Kiciwah Tembo?) was incredible during our stay at Bateleur Camp. The dishevelment of which she speaks, I thought was "old world charm" and it...

We stayed here 3 nights of our 25 night African journey. We didn’t see a crossing. This was the main reason to go in my opinion. The main big crossing (which is what you see on TV) is a good 40 minute drive from camp. There are small crossings closer to the camp. The main crossing is where animals are...

This was our fifth and final camp on a three week trip and while the game viewing was excellent and our private guide, Lucy, great, the camp itself was entirely average. The rooms/tents are old and worn down and the central meeting area where all meals are served is equally disheveled (dirty and in need of a major overhaul). In...

We traveled to andBeyond Bateleur Camp as a family of four last month. Having traveled with andBeyond previously in southern Africa, we were somewhat familiar with what to expect. Not only did our experience at Bateleur Camp exceed expectations, it also further validated our confidence in andBeyond as a company. From the minute we arrived at Kichwa Tembo airstrip, until...

We had actually booked andBeyond Kichwa Tembo but due to a miscommunication, we requested for a change of rooms and we were offered a room in Bateleur instead. It's right next door but completely different from Kichwa Tembo. Kichwa is newly renovated and great for families, but Bateleur is PERFECT if you're on a honeymoon as it's private and intimate....

This was the third of the four safari camps we stayed in, and can easily say it was the best. In general, &Beyond seems to pay attention to the details at their camps and it was definitely evident here. The camp itself is in a secluded, jungled area under the Oloololo Escarpment that overlooks the savannah. Views from the main...

We stayed at Bateleur for three nights and were warmly welcomed by all the staff on arrival. Our "tent" had a lovely view across the Mara where we regularly saw giraffe, wildebeest and eland sauntering slowly and eating. The tents are lovely with a huge bed, (and welcome hot water bottles at night) twin basins, shower, etc. and a verandah...

The lodge was wonderful, the staff amazing and the Maasai Mara National Reserve incredible. We visited Massai Mara in July when the migration was at its peak. It was really great. Our guides were the very helpful and accommodating. They made our trip magical.

1. Appreciate that Bataleur Camp is about to be renovated but felt that in a number of small ways (no hot towels on arrival back from game drives, had not/did not make the effort to get alcohol free beer (as had been requested), pick up from tents did not always take place as organised). While still very good not up...
