This is my second year staying at Mara Eden. They want to please in every way. When I had troubles with payment, they were quick to respond. PayPal was a nightmare, so Mara allowed me to pay the final installment at the campsite. We were greeted with a warm smile by Cyrus. He is the best. He was kind to...

I would like to thank you for bringing this to our attention, you are right, you are paying for the game drives and should have the best possible experience, We have taken this matter very seriously and have since let go of both the guides as this sort of behavior is completely unacceptable. Our sincere apologies, we are also very...

Everything from the first second of arrival to the comfortable accommodation to the amazingly friendly and helpful staff is top-notch at this place. We had an amazing time sleeping with the sounds of the river and wildlife everywhere around and having lunch while watching hippos soaking themselves nearby. The entire camp is an elegant mix of natural and comfortable, with...

To avoid confusion, be aware that Mara Eden (pronounced Ed-en) Safari Camp has recently been relocated from the Talek to the Mara River. A number of reviews are based on its previous location. It consists of 10 tents and a main lounge & dining tented area. Manager Cyrus and his entire staff are very welcoming and accommodating. Meals are well...

The tent was very nice and the food was very good. Staff was great. I was very pleasantly surprised by how nice the tents were. I had expected a structure and siding of lesser quality. My tent was very roomy, clean, and well protected from the elements. These tents are permanent structures that are completely sealed from the elements. Rubber...

This was our second time at Mara Eden Safari Camp, but our first visit to the new location. We had a beautiful tent, and view of the river. Everyone took extra care to make sure we felt safe and comfortable. The food was outstanding, the tour guides very knowledgable and our safari tours allowed us to see a very large...

Had a wonderful experience with great games drives and fantastic accommodation, made only better by the friendly staff, guides and Manager Cyrus. The set up of the camp is great from the tents on the river with ensuite, hot water, solar power and personal Masai guards to escort you around the camp. Hippos and crocs only metres away in the...

First of all thank you to all the Staff that made my holiday a memorable one. The new location is breathtaking. Being on the Mara river is definitely an upgrade. We spent 4 nights at Mara Eden and I only went out on game drive once, there is so much to see in camp. The river is infested with hippos...

I had an amazing time here over Christmas. Where do I start.... The staff were friendly and helpful, everyone from the manager Cyrus, to the Masaii security guards who escorted you to your tent every evening. The tents were luxurious, views over the river with hippos's and crocodiles, a hot water bottle at night. Electricity is solar powered. This powers...

“Take a good torch and spare batteries. A wind up torch would also be a good idea for emergencies.”

“a couple of overall tips if you are looking at taking a safari in Africa is take more than 1 power transformer One of the biggest concerns we had was getting power to recharge our camera batteries. take a GOOD set of binoculares we had 1 really good set and 1 good set, wish we had take 2 really good sets, it is amazing how much more detail is seen on the various game animals, even though we were close, with the use of a really good set of binoculars. a decent range finder , used by bow hunters, would have been really useful to determine just how close or far we were from various game sitings, as people dont really believe how close you get take lots of goodies for the people We took colouring books and crayons for the children, flashlights, hats, and eye glasses for the adults. Left a bunch of the books at an orphanage, gave the rest out to the staff at various camps we stayed at for their families. This was appreciated actually more than cash.”
