Having spent a lots of time at Sala's in the early days, coming back recently we loved the changes to the camp - its so luxurious and comfortable but you still feel in the wild and at one with nature!! The food, staff, management and guides were truly top notch and catered to our every need! We saw all the...

For me the magic of Sala's Camp is its location - well away from the vast majority of other camps, right beside the river and overlooking the migration corridor. That one can stay in accommodation of boutique hotel quality while in the bush, with game all around and all the night sounds that go with it, is to me astounding....

This is a small, recently refurbished (including plunge pools) truly luxurious camp with very friendly and accommodating staff. Wonderfully located on the Sand River it is quiet, and far from all the other Mara camps. A real bonus especially for game drives. Most knowledgeable (and humorous!) guides and spotters provided truly memorable drives which produced all the game anyone could...

Salas Camp is tented in the most luxurious way. Tastefully comfortable, accommodating, well trained staff whether chef, guide or gardener. Scrumptious food. The best was the location right on the Southern border with Tanzania. You see the Wildebeest first and you see them go last to start the journey all over again following the rain. Two amazing wildebeest river crossings...

This is a small tent camp right in the middle of the Masai Mara. Calling what we stayed in a tent in like calling lobster fish sticks. Each tent faces the Sand River and has full top to bottom glass windows looking out over the rive into the Mara towards Tanzania. Our tent had a huge sitting area on one...

We enjoyed a wonderful stay at Sala's Camp. The tents are beautiful with everything you could possibly want in them. The food was fantastic and the staff amazing. We saw so many animals on the game drives. I fell in love with the cats of Sala's Pride, such majestic creatures. We managed to do the Hot Air Balloon ride which...

We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay at Sala’s Camp; thank you for the nice review. Sala’s pride is doing well; the cubs are growing by the day and we have enjoyed seeing – and hearing! - different groupings close by the camp throughout the season. Sala's Camp - The Safari Collection

My mom, fiancé and I had the good fortune to select Sala's Camp from the Safari Collection for our journey to the Masai Mara. The small size of the camp and the distant location from the other camps in the park were two main reasons why we selected this location. The hosts of the camp Lou Lou and John were...

Hello Karen, Thank you for this nice review. We enjoyed meeting you and are so pleased that you enjoyed Sala’s Camp and the Mara. Sala’s pride is still very much present around the camp - our guests saw all 15 of them yesterday - and we are currently enjoying frequent sightings of cheetahs on the short grass areas nearby. Perfectly situated overlooking a large hill which can be full of animals. Service outstanding, food excellent and rooms tastefully done. This is a tented camp that you will feel at home in. Dear Joseph, It was a pleasure hosting you and Virginia at Sala’s Camp. Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Located in the less known southern area of the renowned Masai Mara, Sala’s Camp rests on the banks of the Sand and Keekorok rivers looking into Tanzania’s Serengeti on the opposite side. Sala’s Camp is nestled amongst an indigenous forest with views into the Northern Corridor, which is the route taken by the million wildebeest whose famous migration takes place annually. This makes Sala’s Camp the perfect spot to watch the Great Migration unfold. ... more   less
