We chose Emakoko because of its proximity to the airport, not only did it live up to expectations in this regard - 45 minutes is all it took to go from lodge car park to the terminal - but also we really enjoyed our stay and our visit to the Nairobi National Park. The lodge in genuine top quality, very...

We had a fabulous stay with Anthony & Emma and their efficient and welcoming staff at their jewel of a lodge! We were greeted with lions roaring, a delicious late night meal and later, hippos grazing under our family suite!! We had the most fantastic sunrise game drive with guide Extroadinaire, Peter Muigai!! He spotted a hippo, white rhino mommy...

After 3 weeks of safaris, Emakoko was the perfect place to relax and unwind. It's located adjacent to Nairobi National Park and some of the animals roam onto the property especially during the night. The rooms are stunning. They are large and roomy with a nice deck to relax on with a drink. We had a mongoose and hyrax run...

A well run lodge inside the Nairobi National Park, so it is possible to see animals in the evening and early morning before it gets busy... the rooms are spacious and well appointed and the food is verging on fine dining... all the staff were friendly and helpful, especially the relief manager, Rachel. Rashid our guide was knowledgeable and in...

My partner and I recently spent two nights here in February. We found that the rooms were comfortable and charming;there was a functional fireplace. Anton the owner/manager was on hand and we found him fascinating to speak to. The food was superb and I have to say that I've never eaten in a better restaurant in Nairobi. The service was...

I revisited The Emakoko last week, after a two year absence, and it is still wonderful. Great rooms, great staff, a really wonderful atmosphere. It makes for a really nice transition from airport to bush.

Our family had a lovely stay at this beautiful hotel at the edge of Nairobi National Park. Our large family room was extremely comfortable and the dinner and breakfast were delicious. It's worth staying here even if you are just in Nairobi for a business trip, you would feel you had a chance to experience a luxury safari holiday. The...

This was our first stop on a family safari to Africa for 2 weeks in December 2016. We LOVED this hotel. The location is great, and was a good start for the kids to see animals as it is located on the edge of the National Park. (We had 4 kids and 5 adults. Ages 8-72.) The hotel is beautiful...

What a nice way to start a trip to Uganda and Kenya with a stop at Emakoko. The owners were there to greet us after Elizaban drove us from the airport. We were offered a light meal, which was so welcomed after the long journey from the US. Then we were taken to our room, which was lovely. We spent...
