This was my first stay at the Lotus, having visited Luxor many times. They advertise free wifi but it only works in the lobby and reception area. You have to ask the staff to enter their password on your device, they will not give it to you directly. I have seen reviews from other travellers that staff have turned the...

Stayed here while on an overnight trip to Luxor. Whilst the room was comfortable enough it was very basic. Had to ask at reception for a hairdryer and towels. Air-conditioning unit very big and noisy. We had a view over the street which was quite noisy and not the most pleasant view. Got the opinion that we were given a...

Situated on the East bank of the Nile with all rooms offering great views across the river from the balcony. Fantastic location. Nice pool area with very friendly poolside staff. Room was comfortable and clean, separate bathroom with overhead shower. Basic toiletries supplied. Each room has a small safe. Communal areas, i.e. Foyer and bar offer comfortable seating areas &...

Of the 4 hotels stayed at during my recent 11 day visit to Egypt, Lotus hotel at Luxor was by far the best of all. Clean rooms, pleasant staff, heated pool, excellent satellite service, and a fine dining room. In fact, upon leaving Luxor for my return to Cairo, my only wish was to have extended the Luxor portion of...

In August 2015 (just like in 2014) we spent two nights in Lotus Luxor Hotel. The location of the hotel is very good (there is a good bar across the street, King's head pub where there is free wi-fi). The view to the Nile is wonderful. The room was comfortable and clean but the air conditioning was a little bit...

Just got back from 2 weeks staying again at the Lotus Hotel Luxor Egypt. We have stayed at this hotel and many others in Luxor but we like the Lotus Hotel the best. Its location is fantastic with a swimming pool looking out at the Nile and the west bank. The pool was like getting into a warm bath, as...

Great front desk staff, very nice rooms, incredible value. We got his for about $35US per night, best place we ever stayed in for that kind of money. The maid made us towel sculptures every day, very cute. The restaurant was pretty bad, but so was most of the food in Luxor, or Egypt for that matter. (not an eating...

Kingfisher Tours arranged a short stay in Luxor for us during our ten day stay near Al Quseir. This hotel fitted the bill perfectly. It is genuinely right on the Nile, no road between the hotel and the river. Our room was an absolutely standard hotel room with good beds and a decent bathroom. Our balcony overlooked the pool and...
