The place is just dirty. It is more like a low-end hostel than a hotel. Everything will strike you as slapdash. The amenities are very minimal, but they do offer affordable service for pyramid tour and transportation. The people are great, but the facility needs a major overhaul.

It's very near the museum which is one of the famous landmarks in Cairo. The room is very spacious and cozy so you can relax in your room. The staffs are very kind and friendly. I stayed for a night in Hotel Grand Royal. Its basically an old building/apartment with one floor being run as hotel. The room were fine, however surprisingly the washrooms were literally located within the room which was shocking. The hotel staff was very friendly and accomodating though and the hotel is located centrally and is walking distance from Cairo Museum....

The hotel wasn't as good as expected although it was clean and with a smell of old Cairo history but it didn't worth all the money paid there The hotel service was good but not the best The room was B&B but the breakfast was never served I recommend if u were travelling and searching for just one night stay...

The second time I live in this hotel, after the first marvelous time one in 2015, I decided to give it another go. Grand Royal offers budget accommodation which is very friendly, safe and comfortable. The hotel is in a handy location to the museum and the lovely old buildings in this area, the hotel housed in one of them. We had a room with a balcony but the Cairo constant "tooting" on this square is audible most of the time, not sure...

Our stay was amazing we have met such beautiful ppl we made such good friend. The staff is so professional, helpful, so lovely and always smiling. The location is something else in the middle of downtown everything is so near u don't need to take a taxi to go anywhere cuz everything is so close. So I do recommend anyone...

In general, this hotel has a good attention. It is some old and sometimes you need call the service for cumpliment of hotel responsibilities. But it is important that this hotel is safe and the people offer a kindly attention.
