I stayed here for 4 nights in December 2010. I came in with my taxi t\driver who tried to rip me off and after 13 hours I was super tired. The staff here totally came to my rescue and continued to be so much fun to hang out with. The room was comfortable and I found it to be clean...

In 2009, I found this an ideal place to stay as a solo traveler. I cared most about safety and cleanliness, and I found both at Hostel Brothers. I spent two separate periods of time at the hostel, finding the second less satisfactory than the first in that my reserved room had been given to another hosteler before I arrived....

Wanted to stay at Meramees Hotel, but they were full. The owners recommended this option around the corner, and it did not dissappoint. This is a great, comfortable, clean budget option in Central Cairo. It had AC, free wifi, very comfortable beds, and some rooms had balconies. The bathrooms are shared with awkward but clean showers. I've been all over...

I found the staff very friendly and helpful. It was a good location for getting around Cairo. However,it is very noisy because some rooms are separated from others just by a door, so you can hear other people talking, snoring, their alarm clocks, their mobile phones, etc. Also ,the double room we stayed in was plenty of cockroaches .

The hostel is okay. Staffs are very friendly. However, I do not recommend hostel to arrange any travel package. They are extremely expensive and the travel tour is very disorganized and poor. The staff makes commission as well. It is probably around 100% profit. Giza Tour is ridicules. We were pressured to take camels or horses in order to tour...

Facilities – the rooms were nice and new. It was clean, sheets were fresh, things were neat. There was internet and hot water etc. No complains here, pretty good for a hostel in egypt. do not expect hostels the standard of eastern or western europe. Location – as is everywhere in Cairo, it’s pretty hard to find the hostel because...

Mohamed and Mustafa took very good care of us, from e-mails to directions and hooking us up with a driver. Our room was in good condition with a balcony, but I'd ask for a room not facing Talat Harb street-- the honking horns are incessant all night, but earplugs and iPhone's white noise app made it just fine. Simple breakfast,...

For the price paid it is probably good value in Cairo, as decent hotels there seem ridiculously expensive. However, having stayed in many hostels around the world before, this was clearly one of the worst ones. The rooms are located in a very rundown dilapidated and dark building. Our room had no windows at all, and there was always a...

I went with a group of about 20. Muhammad was awesome he showed us around town put together tours for us and arranged a bus for the trip back to the airport, although I would not reccamend doing those tours with him if your with a small group. You can probably do it cheaper, but with a large group it...

A few australian families, a german girl, some koreans... and me, a Venezuelan (there were others though) it was very interesting to stay right in Cairo downtown, it's life at the end of Ramadan is something else. It is a few blocks from metro Station Nasser, and they will arrange tours for you to either Giza and Luxor. They may...
