We stayed there for 2 nights. Pascal - the owner was very nice to us. He recommended some places for us to visit. We only managed to have breakfast one morning as we had to leave very early on the second morning. The breakfast was good and delicious. The second night, there was a gathering at the Hanok. It was...

Fantastic location close to historic attractions as well as the more modern conveniences of Jongno. Despite being in the centre of the city the hanok was lovely and quiet - the rooms are small but fully equipped. Owner Pascal is very friendly. Stay here for an authentic taste of traditional Korean accommodation, and a varied Korean breakfast each morning.

Staying in MAMA was the most unforgettable thing in Seoul. Rooms were warm and the host was nice and helpful. MaMa will be my first choice if I travel Seoul again.

Staying in a Korean traditional house as a part of our holiday was a best decision we made. Especially, when we chose an old beautiful traditional Korean house which is very good like Mama Hanok. We really recommend for a stay. The house is full of art items and sculptures. The warm Korean room (called ondol) are our family rooms...

We stayed two nights at MaMa Hanok guesthouse and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were lucky because the first night it was only us and our friends and the second night we had the place to ourselves so didn't experience some of the noise other have talked about. The rooms are small (enough space for the bed and that's about...

The location of Mr. & Mrs. Ju's home could not be better, and they are gracious and incredibly kind hosts. The guesthouse is full of tranquility, and the interior courtyard is a magical spot for breakfast. Mr. Ju is a heartwarming and inspiring man who went out of his way to make my stay in Seoul memorable, accompanying me to...

The place is very different then regular guesthouses. You can feel like you join a Korean family so it is very good cultural experience. The owner advised me a lot about how and where to go and invited me for a dinner first to a market and later to his restaurant. I have experienced much more thanks to the fact...

We spent two nights at MaMa Hanok Guesthouse as a side trip to Seoul on our way to Japan, and are so glad we did. Mr and Mrs Ju are very welcoming hosts, and were so kind and helpful. We were travelling with two young children, and all stayed in a cosy room together (with a bathroom), and slept on...

Staying at MaMa Hanok was one of the highlights of our trip! One of my goals was to stay at a traditional Korean house with heated floors. Well, the heated floors did not disappoint! Although you don't sleep on a Western type of mattress, the Korean bedding was plump and plush and comfortable. Add the heated floor to that and...

“maybe getting a room with its own bathroom is better, we went there in fall season and we had a shared one and it is cold when you go outside your room to pee or take a shower.”

“Don't hesitate about booking the room because there is only limited numbers of rooms it's easy to get fully booked, and communicate with the owner through e-mail continually, because if you don't answer Mr. Ju's e-mail, you don't get the room.”
