This hotel is pretty much the definition of "no frills" but, credit where it's due, the rooms and bathrooms are clean, the TV is a decent size, and the wifi is free. By western standards the rooms might seem small, but they are comfy enough for two people to get a good night's sleep. The location is also excellent, near... More

Stayed here last year for 5 nights. Did not want to spend a lot of money, so if you need economical hotel in center of Seoul, Kaya good be ok. Do not expect to see something special, you get what you pay for, you can not find anything nice for 50dollars in the middle of megapolis..Room was of the normal... More

Cute room... Suffice for some zzzz's & to get ready to sight see. Bed had no mush to it but it was fine for me. Room had nice size TV & AC. Had a view of Seoul tower. Clean hotel. Pleasant & helpful staff. Great location... About 3rd of a mile from Samgakji train station. I'd stay again.

Hotel was good and room was spacious! Bed can be considered hard, but after a day of walking, subway stair climbing and sightseeing the bed was comfortable to sleep in. Very close to subway station and is only 3 stops away from Myeongdong, 2 stops away from Namdaemun and 1 stop away from Seoul Station! Many places to eat around... More

Just stayed at the Kaya Tourist Hotel and have to say the location is great to Itaewon, Namsan Tower and Seoul station. Lots of places to eat nearby and easy to hail a taxi down to get anywhere you want to go. Check in was smooth and price of the room was cheap for the local area we were in.... More

The hotel was very clean and warm. The beds and pillows were a little bit hard. It was in a good location near several subway stations. The manager of the hotel spoke passable English. It was located near many restaurants.

Definitely the location is great if you are going on the early morning DMZ/JSA Tour with the USO and Koridoor only feet away from the hotel. You can crawl out of bed and get there in two minutes. Great for the Korean War Memorial Museum as well. Subway stop is close, tons of restaurants and coffee shops....including American businesses. The... More

It's the kind of place that would get good reviews on here for value, and also people shocked by how shabby it is. To me given the good location (close to two different subway lines, near lots of restaurants) it was nice enough but definitely an older hotel, with a dated look, a bit musty, small rooms, limited services (but... Kaya is cheap but nice, nothing too special but the location is the key. Subway, train, bus, and taxis are available. USO is right down the street, the Army base is close. The War Memorial is right around the corner. Once again, nothing too fancy here, just budget hotel!

The rooms were not very good. Brds were clean but nit comfortable and rooms not well cared for. I have lived in Korea before and know you can certainly find better rooms for the same price. Expected much more:(.
