From the moment your door is held open by two uniformed staff you know you are entering a special place. The rooms are spacious with free wi fi, breakfast is buffet style and is taken on the balcony overlooking the lush pool area. There was a live singer in the evening. The staff were very helpful and attentive, letting us...

We only stayed for one night but enjoyed it. All the hotels in Myanmar are over priced. This one is not cheap as well. But the room is very spacious and we relaxed at the pool on a hot afternoon in Yangon. I loved the colonial style. It's a 10 min walking to the Pagoda. Location is quite good. Also,...

The Savoy Hotel is located outside downtown but within 15mins walking distance to Shwedagon. Very much in the same colonial style of the Strand Hotel; perhaps not as well refined but the big plus here is the gorgeous courtyard swimming pool!! A welcome relief at the end of each day of sightseeing. The staff were very charming and friendly; always...

My husband fell in love with this hotel from the moment he walked through the front door. The teak floors, long cool corridors and authentic Colonial ambience had him hooked. When we walked into our suite he was like an excited child. This is not a sleek modern cookie cutter hotel. It's a journey back in time, gracious service, beautiful...

Stayed there with some friends. The hotel style is very nice. A good choice for a really nice pool & restaurant setting. Rooms are good but not very special. Good enough and I liked the colonial style. Highlight is lunch at the pool. Very good food, nice wines and tranquille. Internet did not work well and there are a few...

Dear Paul V, Greetings from the Savoy Hotel Yangon! I am very sorry to read that you did not enjoy your stay with us. Being a colonial hotel, there is a specific theme which we clearly advertise as it is our concept and main selling point and surely it is not everybody's preference. Perhaps in future it may be wiser,...

A fabulous old colonial hotel with fixtures and fittings dating back decades. This is not a super luxury modern hotel. But has everything you need and has a unique charm. I generally only stay in 5 star international. But this is a real find. The staff are fantastic, professional and totally charming. And the atmosphere is so oldy worldly. I...
