We loved this hotel so reminiscent of a bygone age. Polished teak floors, old prints and photographs and wonderful service. It is rare in having a swimming pool, very welcome after sightseeing in this hot city. We only ate breakfast there but that was delicious and served out on a verandah with ceiling fans. Highly recommended.

The style of the hotel has a local Myanmar touch. There are two restaurants inside the hotel, each of them provides very nice food with reasonable price. The hotel has a beautiful swimming pool and a spa house where I did facial and massage, the price is not expensive and the staff is professional. The staffs in this hotel are...

We stayed for 2 nights at the Savoy hotel. We had a suite, which was very well appointed, as you would expect. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Great location for The Shwedagon Pagoda. We ate in the restaurant both nights. It's pricey by Myanmar standards, but worth every $. The five spice tenderloin was particularly good. But...

We arrived late in the evening and was given one of the 'joint' rooms, which turned to be very noisy, we could clearly hear the other guest using the kettle to boil water, walking around the room, it was like we were in the same room. Finally got to sleep, but mosquitos attacked, call the hotel reception, someone brought a...

Recently we spent 3 nights at The Savoy. What a lovely hotel. Friendly and very efficient service, really great breakfast and well decorated and spacious rooms. And a nice pool as well. We used their airport pickup service, which was not cheap but also excellent. We will come back to this hotel.

This is a superb hotel and an oasis in busy Yangon. Rooms excellent and a outstanding breakfast. Attentive staff. Clearly not cheap and you can have a meal for 2 and drinks locally for the same price as one course here. We went to the Friendship opposite and the House of Memories which was 10 mins walk. Nice outside area...

Really lovely hotel. Excellent staff and a very attractive decor, a bit like (I imagine) staying in a country house - teak wood, nice furniture etc, and the sheets were so incredibly soft they felt like silk! Service was great, and the food in the restaurant was absolutely delicious. Pool also very relaxing - especially after the mayhem of Yangon's...
