One of the best appointed and managed hotels in Yangon . It also has a very good location. Compact in size, it has large well lit rooms. The toilets are a little small in size comparatively . Good towels and very good toiletries. There is an electric plug track next to the desk that is very handy. For some reason,...

I spent two nights here at the beginning of my current tour of Myanmar. The Savoy is a beautifully renovated heritage building close to the Shwedagon Pagoda, Myanmar's most significant site. My room was extremely comfortable with a large bedroom, even larger sitting area and a luxurious bathroom with free standing bath as well as shower. Most importantly, the bed...

First, you seldom receive a personalized welcome letter from hotels unless you are a VIP member of that hotel but we did at Savoy. We were even more surprised when the manager came out to greet us at the front desk to ask about our stay. Here is a hotel that is highly serviced oriented. We stayed there for 3...

My sister and I stayed at the Savoy on our last day of our Myanmar holiday upon arriving into Yangon. This is a small boutique hotel still preserving the colonial style. While not the most expensive or perhaps grandest in town, I found the hotel absolutely adequate in almost every aspect - size of room, cleanliness of bathroom, quality of...

An excellent boutique hotel close to the city centre. Rooms are well appointed and very comfortable. Breakfast deserves a special mention because food quality and service are so good. Do not be put off by the location on a busy corner, the hotel is tranquil.

This colonial hotel is built around a pool and garden area, and is small in size, steeped in history. Service was great, as expected, and the breakfast was fantastic. The dining restaurant was also very good, and the cafe downstairs by the pool gets many local residents, a sure proof that its good. The rooms were spacious, with great old...

Hotel is lovely with old colonial charm. The pool area is great. The bar looked like it was from an old movie. Some rooms are spacious (got one on the 3rd floor). The service was amazing. Breakfast had small Asian selection but great Western selection. My BF loved it.

Above-average to good, this hotel sits in an old colonial building. A charming hotel, with spacious and clean rooms with lots of daylights. Sits next to busy streets on 2 sides so it can get a little noisy at during the day and even in the evenings as vehicular traffic is heavy most times. Some fittings in the room are...

Loved our stay at the Savoy - great location close to Golden Valley and with great attention to detail in the design of the rooms including polished teak, plantation chairs, shutters and thoughtful touches such as the daily fruit platter brought to the room. Loved the pool area where you felt miles away from busy Yangon. Food and service was...

I usually avoid "colonial" hotels as like something more modern, but we made an exception for New Year's Eve in Yangon and did not regret it. This hotel has beautiful and spacious rooms, an incredible breakfast on gorgeous patio, and super friendly staff. Also closer to airport than a lot of hotels in the city. Highly recommend
