This gorgeous hotel has renovated colonial decor, with grand stair cases and elegant woodwork throughout. The bedrooms continue the style with wood and bamboo designs. The beds were comfortable, and the feather pillows were especially luxurious. Yet the Savoy is a small hotel, with an intimate feel. There is a lovely morning buffet breakfast on an open veranda, and many...

We stayed for 3 nights and it war refreshing and regenerating to be able to come down after our sightseeing tours. It is colonial in the true sense but facilitates dramatically to overcome the societal disparities which unfortunately are very strong. Great local staff! Rooms and food was great.

The building, facilities, staff and suite all excelled expectation. The chef and manager took care to ensure everything was to our satisfaction. Cannot fault anything. Best hotel we stayed in throughout our three week visit to Myanmar.

Stayed at the Savoy for 2 nights with our two children (aged 6 and 2). It was a short stay as we explored the city of Yangon. The hotel is beautiful and charming and staff were very friendly. Amazing boutique hotel in the middle of Yangon...close to the Shwedagon Pagoda and the People's Park and about a 20 minute drive to the airport. Rooms are spacious and charming with local furnishings and lots of teak. Spent two nights here and had peaceful sleep due to the quiet of the hotel and the comfort of the bed. Like most...

Staying at the Savoy is a truly wonderful Myanmar experience. The interior must have one of the nicest designs of all hotels in Yangon – lots of teak wood and old Myanmar artwork. The rooms are big and comfortable, the food is excellent (great coffee and homemade goodies for breakfast, fantastic burgers and other excellent food at the restaurant for...

Asia conjures up such sights, sounds, smells, contrasts, its magic. South East Asia is the exception with Colonial influences in food and Architecture. Many places have lost their very special character due to progress which is necessary and in part due to tourists being a double edged sword. Hanoi has changed, Luang Prabang has changed, Phuket is unrecognisable today from...

Stayed here for a few nights at the beginning of our holiday. The building is a gorgeous colonial style residence which remains the charm of a bygone era.
