We had the most amazing time at this Shanghai hotel in Yangon the restaurants food was amazing ,high quality, endless choices and fast friendly service. An amazing hotel staff friendly, informative, They strived please your every need. The concier was of great service to us. Had breakfast there every morning in conjurer's room. Our suite rooms were spotless, the floors sparkled, air was so fresh and clean . Not even a speck of dust in all the rooms . Our suite had fresh fruit tea and coffee every day. We were there in February 2019 . We have stayed at a couple of the Shangri-La they truly live up to their name, they do not disappoint. I definitely want to come back here we had the most amazing time. The Myanmar/ Burma people are wonderful, amazingly awesome people. Sorry our post was late we travel alot this trip was a month and a half long . And I forgot a few places now trying to catch up. On our reviews there are four places here in this area I want to review .They were outstanding .... Great Swimming Pool, Royal Building and Great Service. Clean Guest Room and Nice Gym. Staffs are professional and well trained. Reception staffs welcome with smile and warmly. Good location in downtown area. Myo Thu Myanmar
Really great property close to so many attractions. The room was spacious, excellent gym and pool, and the selection at breakfast was just amazing! I think locals can get a membership at the gym it was that good!
Rooms facing east will give you the best view of the sunrise with the silhouette of the Bagan Temple specially on upper level floor hence I stay on the 18th floor for 2 weeks. I could not give a complete review though hence I were not able to enjoy the facilities due to quarrantine.
Services, Cleaniness and Foods are excellent. When ordering Myanmar Tradition Food, the dishes are very good except missing some traditional appetier like fried roselle. As Hotel Quarantine comer, frankly, I would like to suggest to update other services like in Sedona Hotel.
If you like to experience what’s real luxury service, strongly recommend Shangrila. Location - The heart of the city center. Service - hell good! Rooms - a little bit out of date. View - if you want the best view don’t choose this hotel because it’s covered by a construction site. Overall - I completely enjoyed my stay and will come again next holiday for sure.
Fantastic. Learnt a lot! Pasta dishes and time with the pastry chef. Both chefs excellent, patient and professional. Recommended! Friendly team, tasty and reasonably priced food. Thank you Sule Shangri-la.
The Shangri-La hospitality was always unique and impressive for me including this property. The hotel's location is excellent with lots of junctions connecting the city. Facilities were fully provided though some might need to be repaired. Our room was lovely with the view of the pagoda and construction side which soon will hide guests to see the pagoda. Breakfast was fine with a standard selection of foods you could expect from Shangri-La hotels. Sadly, the Chinese restaurant is permanently closed. Some of the receptionists were struggling to communicate in English clearly but their attentiveness remains impressive still.
My family had a dinner at Cafe Sule on 2nd August. There were hot pot buffet, dinner menu and variety of desert selection. The hotel is really managing well about Covid awareness. The food is absolutely delicious, fresh and the service of staffs & chefs are exceptional. My family was really enjoyed the dinner and will love to visit again.
I stayed at the Sule Shangri-La last year on my first visit to Rangoon and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Whilst the property is not new and the rooms annoyingly have the shower over the bath, this was more than made up for by the consistently excellent service, reasonable spa prices (for an international 5 star hotel), and the large, well-equipped gym that would be the equal of specialist gyms like Equinox in New York. A particular highlight was the breakfast, which contained an incredibly diverse spread of Western, Burmese, Japanese, Indian, and Chinese options, including several cooking stations where items could be ordered fresh to order - not just the standard offering of eggs, but also pancakes, eggs, noodle soup, even steak. Plus they have several flavours of ice cream available for breakfast at the delectable dessert counter! The club lounge was also very good and even allowed you to order steak cooked to order for breakfast, so I was always well-fed during this stay. Even the cleaning staff were friendly and in that regard I would especially like to extend my compliments to Mr. Min Min from housekeeping, who always kept my room in great shape. Overall, great location and great value for money in Rangoon.…
