Inya lake hotel is one of the original hotels in the Yangon area. It's located about halfway between the airport and the downtown area next to inya lake. It's a very lovely setting and very quiet. If you are seeking seclusion, this is the place for you. But there really isn't anything around there. Downtown attractions are a 30 to...

My wife and I stayed at this hotel en route to our cruise on the Irawady river from Bagan to Mandalay on the recommendation of a friend who lives in Yangon and whilst it was comfortable it is in the need for some major renovations as it was built by the Russian Government in the 1920's. Location is excellent right...

One of the oldest hotel in Yangon, it's facilities are old but well maintained. Staff are serving the guest very well. Clean room clean environment but a little noisy if your room is near the generator or the taxi parking lot. Nice restaurant and nice food but nothing too special to mention here. All taxis waiting here are more expensive...

The rooms are clean and tidy, you can say they are a bit old-fashioned but I prefer the way they are. They smell of the good old times. Being one of the first hotels in Yangon, the Inya Lake Hotel has served different guests and is kept in a good condition. Thanks to the management.

We followed online reviews and chose to come here today to enjoy some peace and tranquility away from busy Yangon. The staff are pleasant and guided us to the pool. The pool is clean and you can normally hear birds and enjoy the lake view... However, what we didn't know when we arrived is that there's a trade craft show...

We regret you were unable to enjoy your time at the pool, we had a UN Conference that dealt with empowerment and employment of Myanmar women, the various minorities showcased products produced in cottage industries and it was a colourful affair that reflected Myanmar's ethnic diversity and the possibilities for women in particular. It is a global issue but particularly...

A nice hotel -because of its peaceful grounds and location - but it has just almost doubled its rate overnight for no reason that I can see. No way is the most basic of rooms now worth $150 a night before tax. A shame also that they closed the area where you sat outside the bar. Given the price they...

Dynamic pricing is a ubiquitous phenomenon of our times and we like all our peers practice rate policies in line with industry norms. One can fly from Yangon to Bangkok for as little as US$ 30 or as much as US$ 250 in economy class contingent upon when the booking is made. Hence this happens across the board in our...

This is a classic hotel from a classic era, and it looks like it hasn't moved forward much. But do not be put off by the exterior (looks like a Russian housing development from the 80's). I could imagine that this was the hotel of choice 30 years prior. You can imagine it being filled with BBC reporting crews and...

Huge piece of land but building is very old and needs lots of renovation. Thus, it's not worth the price. Swimming & gym are too far away from hotel. No convenient store in walking distance. Food like pasta is not bad though. Best thing is the 24hr clinic beside it.

The Inya Lake Hotel is a City Resort away from the hustle, bustle of the city and yet ideally located half way between the airport and the Central Business District. Our 37 acres provide a lot of space which is increasingly a luxury but all facilities are not accessible by a lift as is the case in modern hotels. The...

This hotel went up in 1962, and is a monolithic block of brutalist concrete, set in the lovely grounds of Inya lake. But look inside to find all the upsides of hotels of that era. Rooms are bright, airy, spacious - and most have lovely views - and the parquet floors evoke another era of comfort and syle. Some have...

The Inya Lake hotel offers an idyllic lake shore setting where you could believe that you were in a rural location not in the midst of a busy city. Maturely appointed the hotel and rooms are bright, spacious and airy which gives a guest a real sense of being at home. But what really makes a stay here unique is...
