It's got a Japanese house feel to it, hence the name. Found the beds really comfortable though the pillows were a bit stiff. You will definitely get bitten by mosquitos during the night if you don't use the net. There is working A/C. The bathrooms are clean, but the showers are cold :( The boys that work there are really...

THERE ARE TWO OKINAWA GUESTHOUSES. I stayed in the first one closest too the pagoda / monument park- second opened. I'm not sure why there are so many negative reviews? Perhaps it's a mixture of both? Yes, the mattresses are on the floor but this doesn't impact sleeping that much, the pillows are a little hard but dormitory life I'd...

I stayed in a few different places in Yangon but this place was the best for the money. Air con, wifi, everything clean, books, Mosquito net in the room (didn't use). The little dudes that run the place are very nice and helpful. Not sure why everyone has such high expectations for a low cost accomodation. Will stay here again!

The guesthouse was quite ok although a bit smelly. The shared bathroom is good and all toiletries are included in the price (soap, shampoo, toilet paper and towel). The breakfast is very average compared to what we have had since then. The location is really good though and there is loads to see. Visit all markets and street food stalls...

The location of the hotel is just great - central railway station and all the attractions of colonial district are within walking distance. Hotel is run by adolescent boys - their English is not perfect, but they do their best. The rooms are small, dark and quite dirty - but for Burmese standard it seemed acceptable to me for that...

I stayed here a lot of times in many room types. (Maybe 6 times, only private type, never try dorm) Not many budget choice in Yangon and this is outstanding budget b&b in Yangon. The location could not be any better. It used to be my first option if I want to stay economy. The room in upper floor was...

Two good things about Okinawa guest house, the best location, very close to Sule Pagoda and the friendly & helpful staff. However, $38 per night for a guest house is quite expensive, dark room, no hot-shower, noisy till midnight. Especially, be careful with the mosquitoes!

the staffs are fine! helpful but speak very little English. hotel is a heaven for mosquito. room was very dark, no free water and they charge 400 kyat/bottle, no light in the bathroom, the bathroom floor always wet and slippery. we told the same to the staffs but they simply smiled as they already knew the fact but could not...

Okinawa guest house is not my most favourite place in Yangon and I am not one for complaining BUT... There are literally cockroaches everywhere! The bed smelt so revolting that I placed out clean clothes on top before I lay to sleep. It was incredible noisy - until midnight and from 4am onwards. The hostel/guest house is run by adolescent...

In comparison with other guesthouses in Yangon, I found this one cosy and clean. Shared showers were ok, I stayed in a dorm with 4 beds (just matrasses on the floor) but they have musquito -nets. I liked the interior: with a lot of wood, cosy, house-ish. And best of all, you eat breakfast outside, chat with others, 'on the...

“the best room there is the triple room upstairs with bathroom attached 40$ I think, downstairs rooms are also OK but a bit noisy in day time, if you like quiet then choose the last room down the hall on the first floor but it doesn't have bathroom attached. that room is 18$ I think.”
