We have stayed at Kaung Lay Inn two times - before and after a trip from Yangon. The staff is very friendly and flexible. Rooms are clean and new, bathrooms as well. The location is not exactly down town but set in a quiet alley and within a short taxi ride from city centre and major sights. A mall with...

I still have no idea why this hotel was recommended in my Stefan Loose guidebook. Yes, it is located in a quiet neighborhood outside the extremely busy city center, but you need to take a taxi to go to either Sule or Shwedagon Pagoda. Having said that, I had a quite spacious but run-down (molded bathroom, broken windows with pigeons)...

It's a nice small hotel located outside center of Yangon. Doubleroom was a bit small and shower okay. Nice atmosphere, breakfast on third floor with nice ( only birds singing) view. English speaking okay and service friendly. Wifi only works in the lobby and is very slow. But that's the case all over Myanmar !

This is a lovely little hotel. It's well run, clean, comfortable and the staff are very friendly. The only thing that stops me giving it 4 stars was other guests. The rooms are relatively sound proof but nothing is going to stop the sound of constant door slamming and loud chatter of those guests who seem to forget they are...

This smallish hotel is surprising, it is not well advertised but the service is good and the room is spacious and clean. The room we stayed in was twin share, the beds were made daily and the linen changed daily as well. The fridge was well stocked with water as well as alcohol and soft drink, and there was long...

Not a bad option in Yangon if you like small hotels and if you don't mind staying on the outskirts of town. The rooms are comfortable enough with a lot of carved wood and lacquerware decorations, but don't expect much from the bathroom facilities (water runs cold sometimes) and wifi is super sloooooow. The staff is pretty friendly, too. My...

We spent 3 nights in this hotel: 2 at our arrive in Myanmar and 1 before our return flight. At the first two nights we had a good impression of the hotel. We checked on internet all Yangon hotels, and we were resigned to sleep in an average and overpriced hotel (like New Aye Yar or Panorama or Asia Plaza)....

We stayed in another hotel earlier in our trip closer to downtown which cost 55$ and was just about OK. This was only 30$ and SO much better. Room felt very clean and new. Great staff and good location on quiet side street. Def better to avoid the overpriced downtown hotels and stay here.
