From a perspective of budget conscious world travelers we were hugely disappointed in the Motherland 2 hotel where we temporarily checked in based on Lonely Planet and Trip Advisor reviews. The room was one foot longer and one foot wider than the bed. There was no room for suitcases to open except on the bed. There were no amenities, no...

I start with the good points: - very friendly and free pick-up service from the airport. we felt immediately welcome and the driver took well care of us. -friendly staff, helped us arrange bus tickets, currency exchange, even offered us free breakfast on the day of arrival But on the other hand: it is a very very simple guesthouse, bathroom...

Average in terms of amenities but clean and well worth its price. The staff excellent and more than willing to help you book your hotels in other cities and set up flights. This is invaluable when it is difficult to make a reservation with a credit card and tourism is growing so much that there are not enough hotel rooms.

It's really a nice place to stay. It's clean, and have all the basic occidental confort. The only issue is the location, but since they are really friendly, they will accomodate for you anything you need (taxi, food, transportation). Don't forget to take the Hotel Card to find it when you want to go back home !!!!

Stayed with my family, accommodated in two rooms for eight nights. Fifth time over many years had stayed at MI2. Returned mainly for price, staff being good with children, and inclusion of transfers from/to airport. Initially rather pissed off with management, as we were pushed into two very cramped rooms on ground floor - one permeated with stench from en...

We stayed here for two nights and really like the staff, common area and food. The staff were amazingly helpful, knew our names and went out of they way to help us. The only challenge was that we found it hard to sleep as the hotel is next to a railway line and for some strange reason they like to...

Great staff and very clean hostel/hotel make up for a location that is a little way out of the City Centre of Yangon. Air con and hot water worked - a bonus in south east asia. An excellent base to start or finish your Burmese adventure!

We arrived in Yangon and got picked up by Motherland Inn 2. Upon arrival we got a welcome juice and the girls even remembered our names from the booking. We sat down and went through our travel plans and lovely Cho Zin helped us book most of our trip. The property itself is quite basic and old school but it's...

We stayed here twice , at the start and end of our visit to Myanmar. We were so impressed with the hardworking and friendly staff. When I had a problem with immigration and a 4 hour delay at the airport, the shuttle staff waited and helped until problems were solved. Staff are knowledgable and helpful with travel advice.
